Totally in for Autumn Sonata and the Rossellini box set.

So pleased that they announced Sonata. A real gem.

Nope, but when Autumn Sonata and La Cage Aux Folles were announced for 2013, I was really excited. I also held off on getting the DVD of The Spy.

I'm not too too interested in Slacker, but when the 3 Films by Rossellini / Bergman were hinted at a month ago, I was pumped!

September is a huge month!

I'm in for...

3 Films by Roberto Rossellini Starring Ingrid Bergman
Slacker
The Spy Who Came In from the Cold

and, perhaps, Autumn Sonata

It's cool to see La Cage Aux Folles, but I'm hoping that the New Year hint with the cage was not for that instead of Le Samouraï.

Both September 10 titles will be mine. TSWCIFTC is a great film. I actually almost bought it on Friday but something in my head told me to wait. I guess I got lucky. Never been a Bergman fan so I'll pass those. Good month.

Slacker is in my top 20 favorite films EVER. That being said I'm trying not to upgrade too many films I already own, and I already have the Criterion DVD, so I might be down exclusively for the Rossellini and Autumn Sonata.

Cool. I sold the Slacker Criterion DVD a few months ago and got I think close to 20 bucks, so I'll be able to buy the Blu-ray back for the same amount in the B&N Criterion sale.

I'm also in for Spy Who Came in From the Cold and La Cage Aux Folles.

Another superb month. Count me in for all of the titles eventually. Will get The Spy Who Came in from the Cold and Rossellini trilogy day one.

Guess I Married a Witch will be a October title after all.

So it's possible that when you finally see them you'll say it was an "okay, okay, OKAY! Month"?

Never seen any of these films but then again, I always blind buy Criterions so I'm especially excited for the Rossellini/Bergman boxset and being a huge fan of Ingmar Bergman, Autumn Sonata is a definite buy for me!

It could be possible, but regardless, I'll get something out of it. Nice to see such a diverse line-up.

SLACKER is one of the most re-watchable films ever in my opinion! I cannot wait for the BD edition. Double dipping is just what I do. The HD transfer should look great!

Yeah, the one I haven't seen that really pops out is Journey to Italy. Hopefully it Delivers, delivers, DELIVERS!

Whoa, I was seeing the old Autumn Sonata cover. That new one is gorgeous. As if it wasn't an absolute must already.

Now I'm glad that the BFI Rossellinis were delayed, I can cancel those and wait for the Criterion box. Autumn Sonata is one of the earliest releases in their catalog without an upgrade, thrilled to finally see it receive one, and with a substantial new documentary to boot. I'm fine with my DVD of Slacker - watched the film countless times, though likely done with it. Spy is a superb film I'll happily double-dip on.
