Strange then that they'd still offer the replacement case for Man Who Fell to Earth. That's been out of print far longer. Ah, well...thanks anyways.

I am very surprised they are still offering it. Can't wait for their next half off sale so I can get a few replacement cases of Emperor, 400 blows and El Norte.

I have a nomination for a criterion release, how about Blame It On Rio? I remember watching this when I was a teen and loving it(for obvious reasons). It actually had a plot as well so I think it would benefit from a criterion release. I don't think it's even on blu ray yet. For those interested check imdb, it has Michael Caine in it as well.

I'm annoyed that I missed out grabbing The Third Man replacement case. It's my own fault for waiting so long, but I kept hoping that the shipping to Canada was going to go down in price or it would have cost almost $30 just for one case. Once the shipping to Canada finally went down, they didn't have them anymore. Unless someone on here happens to have an extra one lying around that they're willing to sell...?

Ummm... This would probably be a better release for Shout Factory. They're releasing another Mr. Skin favorite (The Hot Spot) pretty soon.

[Show spoiler]Nothing more to go on really but the fact that he said he's working on it could be an indication that Criterion might be announcing it in the near future? Regular studios generally don't bother getting director approvals for transfers unless they're massive titles by people like Spielberg. I don't imagine a regular studio would bother including P.T Anderson in the transfer process for Punch Drunk Love...

Maybe I'm reading too far into it. Something to consider though.
Here is the source of my info though:

One of my all time favourite films, so I sure hope so!

After having seen both The Killing and The Asphalt Jungle, I think I enjoyed The Asphalt Jungle more.

While I liked the structure of The Killing and the overall plan of the crime better. I think it was the characters in The Asphalt Jungle that made me enjoy it more.

Sorry but gynocide is more my thing. I was asking for a friend

On a serious note, I don't think I'll ever have the guts to revisit Salo. I have seen In the Realm of the Senses several times though. Salo is just too way too much

You're telling me. I badly want to replace my beat to shit copy of the 400 Blows, which is how Criterion sent it to me, but the $10 base shipping to Canada is killer.

Yikes! Mine aren't that bad, but one day they will. Night of the Hunter is already getting dinged up.

On one hand, I hate that they do, because their shipping prices don't make their deals as great, but I still get so tempted. On the other hand, at least I am able to participate in any disc exchanges if they come up.

Sorry, The Third Man is still enroute to my mailbox! Once I have this in my hands (included is the replacement case too), you will see a photo!
