Hello, first post here.

Recently just got into the Criterion Collection after watching some on Hulu Plus.

First B&N (online) haul:
  • Revanche
  • Rififi
  • Scenes From A Marriage
  • The Fire Within

Does anyone know if the B&N Membership 10% off in-store discount applies to Criterion?

Great choices! I'd really love for Rififi and The Fire Within to be released on Blu-ray, and I'd love to see Scenes from a Marriage.

The B&N membership discount is still applied on top of the 50% sale.

I went to Israel in the Summer of 2007, when I was almost 17 years old. Yes, their healthcare system is great. The operation went great and to top it off, it would have been much, much more expensive if I would have been operated here.

If nothing else, I will cherish the memories of not only recovering from the operation, but trying to get over my first major heartbreak...all set to an infectious compilation of melancholic pop anthems.

I know everyone is probably sick of seeing hauls, but I just got mine today even though I promised myself to not pick up anything, hehe, lack of self control.
Was definitely getting:
Rosemarys Baby and The Gold Rush, but I also wanted to get a DVD of Cranes Are Flying (didn't have it). So instead maybe The Bicycle Thieves, but it was priced originally at $40 to drop it to $20… instead I went with Ministry of Fear for a measly $5 cheaper, ugh please tell me I screwed up cause I know I did!!
Whatever, it happens, I used a $5 off $50 for the total, so overall not bad trip.

I read through this three times and I still haven't been able to discern which titles you picked up, due to the excessive use of qualifiers (was, but, also, instead, etc).

Do you remember which Israeli hospital/city you were in? Just curious for future reference in case I need medical treatment when I'm there next time. Thanks.

Oh come now. I'd say he got

Rosemary's Baby
The Gold Rush
Ministry of Fear

This is nothing compared to the word problems in standardized tests.

I want to see "Life of Oharu," but you guys are going to have to work harder to sell me a movie. The library is getting it and I'm about fifth on the hold list, so I'll be able to see it and decide whether I want a copy.

The review concerns me; one statement in particular begs a question: "Finally, serious transfer specific anomalies such as aliasing, banding, and flicker do not plague the high-definition transfer." So, how bad is it?

I'm enjoying seeing everyone's hauls. Keep up the good work, y'all!

Those are some keen choices. Ministry of Fear is a possibility later on for me.

My guess are:
Frances Ha (I won't stop guessing this until it's announced)
The Brood
Scanners
I Married a Witch
Eraserhead
Mulholland Dr.

and yes I noticed that those are all new titles, no upgrades, but there were 3 upgrades for September.
