Finally made my first stop by a BN for the sale. I ended up with Wild Strawberries, Band of Outsiders and Howards End. I will probably end up trading Howards End (and keeping my DVD copy), or keeping the blu copy and selling the DVD.

I'm still hoping for a release of his The Fugitive. Lesser known Ford but a beautiful, touching film.

I was just about to mention that one. I saw it the other day for the first time. It should definitely be more well known. Very strange, wonderful, expressive film. Donovan's Reef, Mogambo, and The Long Gray Line are some other lesser known great Ford films. John Ford's filmography is shockingly deep. I don't think I've seen a bad one.

Just came back from it, he also tosses in lines from Star Wars and more than a passing nod to Rodan. I thought they worked well, and were done in good fun. Definitely not lawsuit worthy.

Speaking of, I could get behind a Criterion release of Rodan. It will never happen, but, if it did, it would be oh so wonderful.
