Yes, but I wasn't making a personal attack on any filmmaker, I just was criticizing and making a mockery of that individual. To me, what matters most is the product of the filmmaker's work. I have no business knowing or understanding the personal life of Ms. Wachowski, but as a film scholar/viewer, I do have a right to criticize her art. If anyone in this forum has taken offense to anything offensive I wrote, my apologies of course. I am in no way trying to stir up hatred. I'm just all about freedom of expression.

it certainly was a bit lacking in the narrative department, but visually it was one of the more notable wide releases of 2008.

Funny you should mention that. I was looking over my Collection Statistics on this site just for fun recently, and, according to Blu-ray.com, my collection is "strongly underrepresented" in the Erotic category. In fact, there are no Erotic movies in my collection, according to the parameters of this site.

I'm not losing any sleep over this, because I consider my collection of James Bond movies to be sufficient.

Identification of a Woman might be somewhere in my near future, though.

A couple months ago, Erotic was in the Strongly overrepresented category for me. Owl, you are just too puritanical. You gotta stop putting that ***** on a pedestal.

I've never seen Salo, so I guess that I cannot comment, but the premise has never struck me as being particularly erotic. Maybe I just don't get out enough.

Are there any Christina Lindberg movies on Blu-ray? Maybe Maid in Sweden, perhaps?

I had a 20% coupon to use today which ended up working. Helped that the employee's boyfriend is really into Criterions as well, so we had a nice conversation. She had to manually input the code, (letting everyone know).
Today I blind bought Yojimbo (great write up from Owl)
Per recommendations from users on here picked up Sansho yesterday (also blind buy). Waiting for the weekend for first time viewings of the above mentioned as well as Seven Samurai. Pumped!!
