Columbia House is carrying Button in Canada at least. That is where I'm getting a decent price.

Yep, got an email on this on Monday, straight from Criterion. Apparently they had some touble getting the discs to the warehouse in time. I guess this created shipping delays for customers who pre-ordered (like myself) directly from Criterion, and, according to Sussudio's quote there, people who pre-ordered from Amazon as well.
I just sent back an email asking if they are doing anything for there pre-order customers to make up for this delay. I'll keep everybody posted if I hear anything.
First "In the Realm of the Senses" now "benjamin button". Making me wonder why I pre-order straight from Criterion.

I still refuse to buy Benjamin Button until I can get it for less than $20

And although I'm extremely excited about "Repulsion" I have plenty of time to pull the trigger on that one........

So.... is it next tuesday that Criterion will offer up 2 more titles for pre-order???

This is why you'll never catch up with CC and me

It should be next week they announce new titles. Usually around the 15th, right CC?

Replusion is only $24.49 on amazon right now. For all Mankind is $19.99!

The replusion blu is actually cheaper than the standard DVD!

Yeah, from what I've gathered from their site, it always seem toward mid-month that Criterion announces their next titles for release.

And that's true, as much as Beta Man tries, between waiting for those amazing Criterion deals and his wonderful wife, baby, & new house he just can't catch up with our "superior" Criterion blu-ray collections. It's fun to watch him scramble, though.

CC

Hahahaha. Yes, Beta Man does seem to have the upper-hand when it comes to non-materialistic important things in life... so, kudos to him for that.

But... just remember all of those nice Criterion blu-rays we get to snuggle up to each night.

Hahahaha... oh, lord. That's too funny.

The truth is, however, that not everyone even wants to own all of the Criterion titles which makes perfectly good sense. I, on the other hand, was never fortunate enough to catch-up with the DVD releases, so I feel like this is my opportunity to keep up before I get behind. So far, so good. Some I've seen, and some are bought sight-unseen, but that's how I'm choosing to play it this time.

All Criterion fans should be celebrated, though.

Yeah I realize I may be somewhat crazy in intending to get most of them but I won't be alone I guess. I have certainly slowed down in my overall Blu-ray purchases. I am over 300 Blu-ray titles now but most of those were before 2009. I'm getting more picky but I can usually count on the Criterion releases being ones I'll want to buy.

Yeah.... I'll get them all, but it will be a careful balance of waiting for sales, and making sure I don't "Forget" any of them in the process (The Latter won't happen, trust me)

Plus, with the kid (and one on the way) the Platinum Disney releases are "Must-Haves" too........ But I'm straying too far from topic here.......

Yeah.... "ALMOST" ??

That's like a baseball card collection missing all of the left-handed pitchers

Benjamin Button has a standard blue case... makes the cover art look not so good

I wish they would have used the same cases as they did with Wages of Fear.
