I think It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, one of my most anticipated titles, is coming out in 2014. If the rest of the year is like that, it would be the best year ever (for criterion)

You could argue, like, ten of his films are his best.

It's definitely my favorite. They could make a wonderful cover.

Such a great movie. I'm sure that it would make for a good Criterion package, and I'd love to hear Harrison Ford's thoughts on the film with regard to the rest of his canon.

I haven't seen Persona (I've steered away from the MGM dvds which I hear botched the aspect ration and transfer), but Bergman is one of my favorite filmmakers, and I've waited to see Persona join the collection so I could blind buy it. I haven't seen Autumn Sonata either but the blu for that comes out on my birthday and I intend on grabbing it.

I don't know if they can already improve on the exceptional transfer of last year's release, but I'm sure their extras will beat the original's.

Sad news. Elmore Leonard, who wrote the original short story for 3:10 to Yuma, as well as the source stories for Get Shorty, Jackie Brown, Out of Sight, and Rum Punch, died today at the age of 87.
