Not a single thing of remote interest to me for December...total meh but its ok because there are plenty of other studios releasing movies of interest, and Criterion will eventually release something Id like again one day...

At least last month I tried City Lights and enjoyed it

It seems odd to me that the four releases are released in the first two weeks of december with nothing announced for the end of the month. Perhaps there are still more to be announced?

I am so envious of your Ebertfest experience too.

Well, I can not recommend Ebert's film festival highly enough. I'm lucky to only live a few hours from Champaign/Urbana, so I've gone a half dozen times. Even with Ebert gone, the vibe of the fest completely lived on this year and I suspect that it will for years to come. Ebert introduced me (not personally, of course ) to so many great films! God bless that man!

Go, go, go to Ebertfest next year in April. Grab a buddy or two and make a road trip out of it. You will not be disappointed.

Nice to see an early South Korean film getting a blu-ray treatment, was interested in the MoC release of that box set but now I'll probably just get the criterion one.

Not really, Criterion kinda shuts down by mid-December.

Some Decembers they've only released two titles, but four across the first two weeks of December has been the norm for the past couple of years.
