Someone else (forgot the member's name) did post about this being a "volume 1" soon after my original posting. So I had an "Expert Member moment" there for a few minutes. It happens to all experts though, every now and then.

You should check out the Criterion if only for the Voices of Light score. My favorite score to any silent film.

Voices of Light is a truly breathtaking score, though it could be argued that it dominates the film itself. Unfortunately it wasn't composed for 18fps, my preferred framerate for the film.

I agree. The score is a bit much. Very overwrought and overpowers the film at times. The film is more powerful silent.

Seeing Persona added to Criterion's Hulu makes me all giddy.

Pretty sure I'll scream once the Blu is announced... Okay, maybe I won't scream, but I'll be extremely happy.

We're 18 days into the month of September and I'm sensing there might be a Criterion.com flash sale starting soon. Or maybe they won't have a sale this September and instead wait until October. Hmmmm. One can only wonder.

It is 50% off, free shipping above $50 orders and if it holds to most of their past sales, minus a few seeming mistakes, the pre-orders will be ineligible.

Yeah, they're ineligible except for titles released in about a week, since those are usually technically in-stock

Just to be clear, when it's happened in the past it's 50% off MSRP, not 50% off the usual Criterion.com price.
