Haha, ok. If they are delivered correctly so that the case isn't damaged, if've nothing against them.

By the way, I watched Safety Last today. The sound was simply amazing.

Pierre Etaix Collection! On the same level with Chaplin, imho.

I just finished Babette's Feast.

I'll admit that the first act was rather dull, but after 30 minutes or so, the film significantly picked up. It was a really entertaining and heart felt film.

It really exceeded my expectations.

You don't seem to have much art house fare in your existing collection so if you are looking for a couple of mainstream titles, perhaps Dazed and Confused or Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

I picked up the August and September titles. Love these out of nowhere sales. Hope I can watch a couple soon.

That gives me all the Criterion Blu's released to date!
I think that is the first time I have been totally "caught up"

A few titles that I had in my cart are now out of stock, but the price is still 50% off with the code, all through to checkout. Will the 50% off apply to back-ordered titles, or will those items be cancelled?

For Canadian orders would it make sense to make separate orders to avoid being hit with possible border charges?

Branded to Kill might be up your alley.
Any Chaplin is always great, Videodrome, Godzilla, Seconds (if they apply to back ordered items), Repo Man, 3 10 To Yuma, On the Waterfront

Two-Lane Blacktop

Hunger (getting myself excited(?) for 12 Years a Slave)

I've been binging a little too much on Criterion's lately, but I've been trying to work through my wishlist and get myself caught up to buy new releases. And given I have a good amount of disposable income right now, now's as good a time as any .

I'm just going from your Friday the 13th avatar (which I think is pretty cool) when brainstorming what Criterion films to recommend to you, so try these on for size...

Kiss Me Deadly
This is one hard-hitting violent beatdown of a 1950s film noir masterpiece, Mike Hammer plows through the movie with little to no regard for moral conduct or legal proceedings (sort of like Jason Voorhees), and the ending is fiery and awesome across the board.

The Night of the Hunter
Robert Mitchum's serial killer character will make you forget all about Jason Voorhees for a while. Film noir, twisted fairy tale, and a good serving of Johnny Cash-style coolness.

The Wages of Fear
The most terrifyingly edge-of-your-seat movie ever made. This is a fact.

Badlands
Martin Sheen and Sissy Spacek are not wearing hockey masks in this Terrence Malick film, but they are just as devoid of conscience. The cinematic depiction of Martin Sheen's tendency to disregard anything and everything is both charismatic and terrifying.

Seconds
The last two minutes of Seconds are ten times more terrifying than any of the Friday the 13th films (and I actually know what I'm talking about, because I've seen every one of the Friday the 13th films).

Videodrome
Buckets of gory violence and a sexy early-1980s era Debbie Harry. Get some.

The Battle of Algiers
I'd rather deal with a hundred clones of Jason Voorhees than be interrogated by the French military during their occupation of Algeria.

The Blob
The Blob is...awesome. Awesome. Awesome.

Letter Never Sent

Forest fires > killers in hockey masks

M
Now this is how to make a creepy serial killer flick.

Paris, Texas
The Friday the 13th movies feature a lot of hot babes. Nastassja Kinski is a hot babe in this movie. Is there any other common ground between the films? Well...not really. Trust me on this one, though.

Black Narcissus
Beautiful Technicolor, and a twisty turn that flirts with horror of a different sort.

Great, thanks for making me know this exists. More stuff to buy lol

Edit: It's only $9.00 on Criterion's website, not $50, so that's good, right. http://www.criterion.com/shop_produc...on-coffee-mug#

Also, what sale is happening now? The BN one isn't until November (right?) and the Criterion.com one appears to have been a one-day even back in September - honestly, it might be better I missed that one, I was planning to hold back until November anyway.
