Im sure Rififi is happy.. I just saw that movie, and wasn't into it. I do want see Thief because there's a lot fanfare for it and Its a Mad X 4 World. Ill start with the shorter (??) version
No genre , Lynch or Hitch but its all good, its a nice batch of titles Im sure lots of fans have wanted. Everyone gets a turn to be stoked on the 15th (or 16th or 17th)

I posted something like this yesterday.. I think many of you east coast people had left the office.

I live very close to where a lot of Thief was shot.

The bar from the film is a very popular bar in the Uptown neighborhood. Still looks a lot like it did in the movie.

I've seen It's a mad, ... , Rififi, and Throne of Blood. Rififi may be a buy, even though I have the Arrow disc. A lot of people like the heist, but

Rashomon was disappointing, so I'll wait for a review before considering Throne of Blood.

The only thing that would have put this over the top in terms of "legendary" months would have been a David Lynch release too... but hell yes, I'll take those directors any day! You can take that to the bank!

Am I upset that they didn't push it down the pipe and are instead announcing it now? Not so much, no.

And while there's no rush to upgrade Stray Dog or Red Beard or The Bad Sleep Well or Drunken Angel or The Hidden Fortress they would all be similarly welcome if and when they should come to pass.

I'm not sure if I'll be getting this immediately upon release, but I am so so glad that they are keeping the original cover art to Throne of Blood.

I have yet to see a Kurosawa film that has made me want to watch it more than once. Seven Samurai came close because it's quite good but it's reeeeeaaaaally long. Should I even bother renting Throne of Blood?
