An absolutely amazing film. Hans Zimmer's score in lossless sound? I am all over this one... I also hope that it's the extended cut (I am assuming the extended cut would more accurately be called the "Director's Cut") but I doubt we'll ever see that.

Still, it'll be nice to see this movie in HD and actually have at least a feature or two to go along with it.

Also, I just watched Hunger, last night, and again tonight.
Loved it. Watched it with my mom tonight. Everything about it I loved, the shots, the simplicity, the acting, the long conversation, the dedication Michael Fassbender had to his role. Will probably end up watching it many more times as well.

Kinda weird though, I watched Eden Lake the night before watching Hunger, and had no idea Michael Fassbender was in both. What an odd coincidence!

Thank you to Hunger for providing me with a new desktop!

For some odd reason I've never been able to finish this movie, though very good filmmaking, I can recognise that, just odd.

According to Wikipedia, Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Sheen, Gary Oldman, Bill Pullman, Viggo Mortensen and Mickey Rourke all had their scenes cut. I would love to see all of their performances. Let's hope for an extended cut!

Finally, I've recently become a Malick fan (only seen Days of Heaven and A New World) and I've wanted to see this for a while. Can't wait for the blu!

I hope Criterion will release the Werner Herzog movies on Blu-Ray (such as Aguirre, Nosferatu, Heart of Glass, Mirage, Signs of Life, The Wild Blue Yonder, Lessons of Darkness, Woyzeck and Fitzcarraldo).
