Give me Mask(1985) w/ Cher and Eric Stoltz and I'd be a happy camper...great film from Bogdanovich.

That movie needs a Blu-ray release!

I second the thoughts about the digipacks. I am not a fan of them myself. I prefer the standard cases.

Also, there's a flash sale in February? I have only begun to really start my Criterion addiction last year so I wasn't aware there was a sale in February. This isn't from Barnes & Noble right? Is this from Amazon?

It is from CC official site, but it usually only last a day or less.

On another note, very sad news about Seymour Hoffman, was really a great actor.

I wish. It's real.

I can't even process it. This one is worse than Gandolfini, and that one hit me hard.

God damnit. I want to watch a film of his, but I can't choose one. Guy's filmography is incredible.

He is one of the greatest modern actors to have ever lived. He literally killed every single role he performed. He was just phenomenal.

Such an incredible tragedy.

I always loved Philip Seymour Hoffman's role in Capote.

Oddly enough, though, the first thing that came to my mind when I read today's news story was Hoffman's role in the 1996 film, Twister. That was fun in an offbeat way, just as the movie itself was fun in an offbeat way.

I can't think of another death in the film industry that has impacted me this way. One of the most talented performers of his generation.

Philip Seymour Hoffman was quite good in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The second installment of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay is still filming, so I'm wondering how his death will affect this production.

Just thinking about how we'll never see him in a PTA film again makes me upset.

Ugh. This is the worst.

I just read the other day about an Amy Adams / Jake Gyllenhaal film he was set on directing.

I can't believe how the tables have turned.

Philip Seymour Hoffman has one of my all-time favorite movie quotes...

"The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what we share with someone else when we're uncool."

Even the greatest actors have to take a few paycheck roles now and then I suppose.

The dvd of The Killers was discontinued a month or two back. I assume it's getting a dual format release at some point in the not too distant future.
