Soooo I just finished watching Salo for the first time... Crazy. I feel that I would have to watch it multiple times to even try and comment on the films meaning. I know my brain was receiving all these messages but I could not catch it all.

Another interesting Michael Beck movie is Battletruck. There is a double feature with the so horrible and hokey it's actually entertaining Deathsport featuring David Carradine. (He runs around for half the movie with a freaking clear plastic sword for a weapon for crying out loud!), not to mention the very obvious "whoops" stunt gone wrong that made the final cut.

Thinking of Michael Beck and the fantastic "The Warriors" always makes me think of his TV series with Michael Pare, "Houston Knights". (What a cast!) Anyone remember that? It didn't air for very long, but I loved it. Pare gets transferred from Chicago to work with Texan Beck. I always think of Beck's catchphrase "It don't make no never mind".

There's a good set of supplements, as I recall. Probably would help your brain out some, give you some perspective before going on to the next view.

Whoa! They are there. Except Ace in the Hole shows no release date. The others all have May 2014 dates. Akijama, if this is true, you win scoop of the year. Also, this would be one of Criterion's best months ever.

EDIT: The date just showed up for Ace in the Hole. It is May 6.

Ha, someone forgot to tell Amazon they were waiting for Tuesday.

I'm glad Aquatic is releasing, we can get that out of the way and move on. Also really glad I waited on importing Like Someone in Love. So many times I have almost pushed the buy button.

All in all, looks like a really solid month. All smiles here.

Wow, quite the slip up from Amazon. Has this happened before?

So glad to see Like Someone in Love finally coming. Curious to see how Criterion's release is going to compare to the upcoming MOC release before I decide which to get. I'm eager to see the releases fully detailed though.

If you scroll down to the description on the page it does say May 6th release date.

Yep, it is there now. It wasn't there when I first looked "no release date, sign up to be notified when this title is announced", then it showed up a moment later on a refresh.

That's what they get for postponing it even more days due to holidays.

Looks like Like Someone In Love will also be out in a standalone DVD.
