I was happy to snag:

Rififi (upgrading from my DVD)
Battle of Algiers
Paths of Glory

By the way, I called my wife first!

Thief, Rififi, and Foreign Correspondent for me. I would have ordered Jules and Jim, but it was OOS. It would have been cheaper had I ordered the first two from DD when they had their 15% off sale, but then I wouldn't have been able to order Foreign Correspondent now as I wouldn't have hit the $50 minimum for free shipping. At least I'm earning points this way.

How long do backordered items take to ship during the CC Sale? I'm late to the party was swamped at work and I've only bought criterion from B&N and amazon

I grabbed Tess on the way home, and it's a beautiful-looking digipak package. Since the movie is three hours, I'm waiting until the weekend to watch it, but I'm glad that I was able to buy a perfect-condition copy in person. This will tide me over until my flash sale stuff arrives.

Love when the thread gets inundated by people worried about getting the criterion blus during sales. They all disappear afterwards.

Unless you're already paying inflated shipping fees, the $50 minimum per order needed to place multiple orders, coupled with the fact that your chances are "Slim" as it is given the fact that there will be a LOT of orders..... I doubt they mind someone placing 3-4 orders, and winning a mug/tote-bag/shirt/whatever.

It's great that they're doing this, but it's really just another way to promote the sale..... people won't be breaking up multiple orders on a busy site and risk losing titles due to OOS issues, unless they're deranged.

One order is enough for everyone, and everyone gets one order.....

I'm sure there are many of us who visit this thread nearly every day, (there is a lot to learn here) but are sometimes too busy or even too intimidated to post. But this isn't the most welcoming kind of comment.

Oh ok well that scraps like 3 titles I wanted lol. These sales seem more popular then the B&N sales.

Hopefully mathematically someone on here wins that golden ticket that sounds awesome good luck to all!

I saw Tess at the store the artwork looks killer may buy at the store snide it's sold out already.

Canada Clothing

I saw a few posts before about the clothing you can buy from Criterion. Someone mentioned sweatshirts but I can only see T-shirts

Anyone got a link to the sweatshirts ?

don't ever feel too intimidated to post. the occasional reference to film snobbery on this thread is a complete myth. people love to share recommendations and answer questions on this board no matter how "noobie" their inquires might seem.
