I thought it was interesting the first moment of the sale to see what was "running low" before sale orders started flooding in - Z stood out. Possibly letting stock sell out before upgrading to DF or overthinking it?

yikes.. gotta call them out on another one. New York stories and they don't show Sweet Smell of Success?

could be that they're hoping some of the titles they have listed will move.

I think you might be referring to a post which I copied for you below. As far as I know, Criterion doesn't sell sweatshirts.

For whatever reason, in general, design T-shirts seem to be all over the place, but not so much love for sweatshirts. (Just a thought).

How do orders normally work when one of the films is a preorder? Do I have to wait until it is released and all the films are shipped together?

I unfortunately will not be able to participate in today's sale. Anyone know when Criterion's next sale might be, aside from the B&N sale in July and November?

Oh It does not exist. We could do with something a little warmer up in the frozen white north

Stray Dogs was the first title showing "Running Low" and that was literally at 12:01 EST.

I'm really struggling against placing a second order for some Eclipse sets.

Sorry late to the party; but can someone give me details on Criterion's gift codes? I've read a few people saying they've received a $50 after a large order. Doesn anyone have info on this? Gracias!

You have to spend $500 with them. You then qualify for a $50 card usable on their site. Your total builds with each order but does not include any shipping costs.

From their website:

Loyalty Program

We appreciate the loyalty of our customers. Here’s how our loyalty points program works: Every dollar you spend at Criterion.com earns you a point. When you get to 500 points, we will send you a $50 gift certificate! Shipping fees, sales tax, and gift certificates do not count toward the loyalty program.

Bummed I didn't check my email early enough to snag Fantastic Mr. Fox, but was still able to get Sweet Smell of Success. I love noirs, so I was relatively pleased.

I ended buying 28 titles with 3 separate orders. Placed the 3rd order because I got the $50 certificate and wanted to use it during the sale. Very pleased that they don't charge me tax like Amazon does and I didn't know about the rewards points so I'll be buying from them in the future (just have to be ready for their next flash sale in September!).

If you haven't seen it on Blu yet, you're in for a treat. Criterion's Blu-ray of Sweet Smell of Success looks absolutely stunning.

And New York City in the late '50s... just wow. One of my all-time favorite noirs and one of the great NYC movies.
