Fantastic new 2K restoration by Svensk Filmindustri of Persona and a very, very beautiful documentary film by Dheeraj Akolkar.

Super release, one of the year's best!

Moonrise will eventually be added to the collection, albeit likely in two years. 12 Years probably won't.

hey guys i have a question on b&n sales...
do they happen at the same time each year? or are they spontanenous?

i want to get the chaplin criterions and everyone says wait for b&n sale.

And fingers crossed for Godzilla, I love Godzilla and the Toho Ltd films, I just hope this can live up. I will say the trailers make it look great. And with cgi, it should look great (though I prefer a guy in a rubber suit myself).

Seems like another Bergman classic 'Scenes from a Marriage' has finally been released on Blu-ray in Germany.

... Hopefully we get a similar release by Criterion this year... I'll be waiting.

Housemaid was the solitary reason I bought it. I know the others are going to be amazing, but I just loved Housemaid so much the first time I saw it, I had to own it.

It's just such an amazing film, with so much intensity and pain, it really one of my favorite movies of late. I'm trying to decide if I want to watch the remake.

Hot damn, those Persona screens are beautiful. Maybe a bit premature, as we're only two months into the year, but it looks like the kind of release that could be the frontrunner for release of the year. I cannot wait to get my hands on it.

Awesome, my tracking #'s both showed up, flagged as 2 day delivery. Hopefully that means I'll get them both on Saturday. Let's see if Criterion has better luck going from KY to WV than Deep Discount did (A record 13 day trip....)
