Pretty Much exactly like that. But no, if they don't sell, I've got a few friends who would definitely appreciate them for Christmas gifts, and hey, for $7 shipped, its not like I'm too far out on a limb or anything.

Good point, The 400 Blows is one of my favorite films, so perhaps I should get an extra one as a gift, spread the joy.

I thought about going that route when I first started going blu, but there are just too many great films that will probably never become available on blu (or at least not in the foreseeable future), and I personally can't limit myself just to Transformers and The Dark Knight type of movies that comprise about 95% of the current blu market.

I use the library system to borrow DVD's. They have just about anything.

I use the library system as well and while they have most titles, they don't have everything. I figure this way I'll get a few titles that interest me that I haven't seen, rent them first, and if I don't like them then I'll sell what I just purchased. At these prices I'll at least make my money back, provided they honor the prices of course.

Look's like it was a wild night for a lot of people. I wonder what will happen? I hope everyone get's their orders. Some crazy prices. I mean Eisenstein The Sound Years for $10 that is crazy, I paied $120 originaly for that

It appears that some titles are coming back into stock. So either the company is adding new stock (unlikely), canceling orders (probable), or people or canceling the orders on their own (possible, but unlikely). We'll see.

I went and added 5 Eclipse set for a total of $40 which is amazing but they are charging me $69 of shipping I guess it's a good deal for the USA...oh well! c'est la vie

Ouch, I've heard Amazon's shipping to Canada is rough. Even in the US, shipping is $3 an item. Really not too bad (I'm averaging $5.82 a title for 29 films), but when you're used to free shipping it can be a tough pill to swallow.

Yeah, I always have free shipping from Amazon.ca so the $69 is just to crazy for me even for all of those Eclipse at $40.

Looks like the madness is over. Many movies still show the super low price but when you click on the link - they aren't there. What comes next - the cancellation of orders? So far no e-mail from Amazon to that effect.
