Here's what you do:
First step, buy a vanilla mastercard from 7-11. When you get home you have to register it online, go to their website first then go into your internets "advanced settings" and find the cookies for all the sites you've visited and look for the mastercard one specifically. I know there's a way to do that for Google chrome but of course don't know if that's what you're using. Then you clear the cookies and go back to the mastercard website and hit "refresh" which will prompt it to bring up a screen that will ask you what country you are registering it for to which you will hit United states. Last step is to go onto google maps or pretty much anywhere that lists an American zip code and register it to the card. And bam! American credit card ready for Hulu! |

I just finished watching Foreign Correspondent and it's easily one of my least favorite films in the entire collection and one of my least favorite Hitchcock films of all time. I was really hoping to like it, as I have seen the majority of Hitchcock's catalogue and have generally enjoyed the majority of them; however, this one was way off the mark for me.
The story was very uninteresting and far-fetched, in my opinion. I am not the biggest political thriller fan, though I am fine with them as long as they are engaging and compelling. This one seemed to lack both of those ingredients for me. As I sit here and think about it, the entire film seemed like it could have been done in a shorter fashion. A lot of it seemed very fillerish to me, especially with some of the dialogue and the ending. One of the things that bothered me the most was that the main star seemed incredibly naïve and clueless to the world around him. I understand he was in unfamiliar territory, but after people try to kill you x amount of times, one would assume he would not be so trusting. Not to mention, the whole romance thing with him and Fisher's daughter seemed even more phony than a James Bond romance. I don't really like the fact that I'm going on and on about this as I have enormous respect for Hitchcock, but I'm just really let down considering several of his films are in my (nonexistent) favorite films of all time list and I saw one of his best films, Lifeboat, a few weeks ago and I was immediately blown away. Oh well - you win some, you lose some. ![]() |

Very true. And it also shows that they have not forgotten him.

I just borrowed Z from the library. Haven't seen it yet!
I also just reserved a copy of Blue is the Warmest Color too (there are already 110 other people on the wait list with only 17 copies available...I wonder how long this will take?). A friend of mine today told me that this film was simply amazing and he hadn't seen anything like it before. He also said it goes beyond sex. I can't wait to see if he's right. |

Sweet Smell of Success always makes me smile with delight watching the sleaziness that runs rampant in this particular world. Lancaster just towers over the film and it's just beautiful to watch him and Curtis bounce incredible dialogue off each other like boxers connecting on haymakers.
