I need to get on Ebay and find a copy of The Third Man, especially since its so high on the list of highest rated BDs by the user rating here at blu-ray.com

They're nice, and needed for the huge booklets that come with most of these releases! They look good too, once you have about 20 of them in a row

This is how I feel about my Digibooks, dammit. Yet all I ever hear is *****, *****, *****.

The supplemental material in the Dr. Strangelove Digibook is excellent, too!

Glancing at his posted collection I'd say he has all Criterion Blu's.

Well guys , I got all of these Criterion blu-rays in today....>

Walkabout
400 Blows
Seventh Seal
M

I got Yojimbo and Sanjuro yesterday.

Which is easiest to watch, I tried Yojimbo last night but I was too tired to read the subs through that movie. I am too tired for that tonight as well so which is easiest to watch between all my Criterions besides Yojimbo and Sanjuro ?

For those thinking about getting "The 400 Blows" from Amazon, be prepared to order the plastic case from Criterion. I got my copy from Amazon a little over a week ago. I can see why people were complaining about the flimsy packages.

"Walkabout" and "M" are easy on a tired person.

Uh, I'd say Yojimbo is definitely the easiest to watch... maybe 'M' in that it almost feels like a silent movie... I've never seen Walkabout, though.

Had all the Blu-rays...... I loaned out "Bigger Than Life" and haven't seen it since..... so I may need to replace that one, as it's "missing" (along with Planet Earth, and The Bird with the Crystal Plumage )

I'd have to count the DVDs (which I don't plan on doing ) But I'd guess I'm closing in on 300 of those.....

EDIT:

Bsmith..... I just watched "Does Humor Belong In Music" tonight on my way home (in-dash DVD player) Sadly, that's the only Frank Zappa DVD I have..... I find the current selection available pretty 'sorry' in all honesty...... but I'd love for some more concert footage to be released.

That's great concert footage Beta Man! I saw Zappa during that particular tour at the pier in NYC (where the Intrepid is parked). I think that concert footage was filmed at that same pier, but a different night than when I was there.

Another great Zappa DVD is "Baby Snakes"... a neat mix of concert footage, interviews, and real "seemingly" LSD induced clay animation.

I WISH that they would release for Zappa concert footage on blu-ray. The main thing that Frank did better than ANY other musician at times in his career, was recording music and storing it the very best way possible. There is concert footage that has been used on "studio albums" that you swear was recorded in the studio...until you hear the applause at the end.

Zappa on blu would be really intense, sharp, and take advantage of multi-track mixing.

*SIGH*...I just hope that Dweezil and company continue to release Frank's material on Barking Pumpkin Records...they've aleady done a DVD-Audio of concert footage, so it's not out of the realm of possibility that a blu-ray concert release, might be in the near future.
