Extras for Scanners look great. Cronenberg's first feature, documentary on the SFX, interview with Ironside should all be great.

OK, I'm in for The Big Chill. Might consider PickPocket down the road. Glad there wasn't more I wanted, tbh.

We'll have to wait and see if it is. Criterion might have new 3-disc plastic cases by then

Awesome month.

Scanners finally. I've been waiting for an upgrade of Insomnia for a while. Pickpocket hugely welcome. I've been excited for The Big Chill since it was leaked and finally, a huge Demy box set. Truly a great month for Criterion.

Artificial Eye released it on dvd in the UK.

At the moment Pickpocket is the only one I'll definitely be buying.

I need to check Insomnia out. The others at the moment don't appeal to me.

Great titles Esp PICKPOCKET! Wonderful choice for an upgrade! Also The Scanners artwork is cool IMO and the Demy Set is a surprise, I expected the Hulot set but I knew they would release some set during July for the Barnes 50% off sale they always move a lot of product during the sale.

It is a very impressive month.

I honestly had a feeling that Pickpocket was being upgraded.

I wasn't a big fan of it, to be honest, but it certainly wasn't a BAD movie.

Pickpocket is the one that I'm most excited about, although I am a huge fan of Insomnia. I want more Robert Bresson in my Blu-ray collection.
Pickpocket and Insomnia will both be Day One purchases, in all likelihood.

Scanners is an inevitable purchase. My 1980s childhood nostalgia is awakened full swing.

The Big Chill will probably be in my collection at some point. I love the faithful artwork and font of the cover art.

The Essential Jacques Demy looks intriguing. The presence of Jeanne Moreau always has my intrigued.

I believe this is the month for the B&N sale 50% which will be good and easy on my pocket since I'll be picking up all these titles. Outstanding month IMO.

Inclusion of Stereo on the Scanners release seems to scotch the notion of an Early Cronenberg Eclipse set someday.

I'm really excited for Insomnia and the Demy set.

The Umbrellas of Cherbourg is one of the greatest things made. I currently have Lola on my DVR, but I think I'll delete it so that I can see it in HD for the first time.

They were probably thinking 'okay, how do we meet all of the contractual floating head obligations without being too pedestrian'.

I think they did a pretty decent job.

I am really glad we are getting more Bresson.

Pickpocket = A Man Escaped in film quality and film editing.

With Persona and Pickpocket, this year is my favorite year so far for criterion blu ray releases. Now if we can get Andrei Rublev and Le Samouraļ, this year will not be surpassed.

Happy to upgrade Pickpocket and Scanners, and the Demy box looks great. I've never seen The Big Chill, but it will be a rental, as will Insomnia. A solid month.
