+1

So happy to see Criterion offering the 3 disc Scanavo case now. Those digipacks, aside from suffering potential creases, dents and tears, were also not the same height proportions (nearly 1 inch taller). I like the 3 disc plastic case alternative.

Enjoy though.
Well, the first 6 episodes didn't do it for me either but I've continued to watch this series and its only becoming more fascinating. You should have had a bit more patience.

Thats why I put them on shelf in separate section ^^

Plus feels like I'm getting more for my money with digipaks as there is more artwork, plastic cases feel cheap and scratch up and have glare lol

I never understood the obsession with Digipak artwork. People say they feel cheated because plastic cases have less of it, who really sees the interior art work? You see it for a second or two when getting the disc out, that's it. No one else ever knows it's there, especially on a shelf.

Watched it when it first aired at the urging of my mother. I was 9, going on 10. Definitely not something most parents would push their children to see, but I was creeped out and yet very intrigued then, and I've found that on subsequent viewings - once when the DVDs were released and again streamed via Amazon Prime a few months ago -my reaction is still the same. It's such a disturbing show, but so well done. I wish there were shows today that could create an atmosphere as smothering as Twin Peaks.

I do! I love getting my films out and looking through them, the booklets and the cases - I spent a fortune not hem, and adore it.

Call me sad but I absolutely love it and love appreciating the work gone into it

Hopefully they've moved away from the Digipaks other than very special releases. I've said it before, but the digipaks take up almost twice the size of a regular case. I live in a tiny Manhattan apartment, I need to save as much space as I can!

The width of digipaks aren't going to make that much difference lol...

Get a nice big one that covers entire wall or replace all your walls with bookcases lol

Fallen Idol is one of my favorite Criterion DVD's. I really appreciated Ralph Richardson much more after seeing this film. Also, there seems to be some wierd vibe that Carol Reed has with kids in his films. The young boy in Fallen Idol is "kind of different" and it made me (for some reason) think back to the kid with the ball in The Third Man - also kind of strange.

I just started season 2 and the David Lynch-directed 1st episode was quite disturbing, esp. the last 30 seconds! Wow, I can't even imagine what is in store for the next 21 episodes of this second and final season. Just don't give me any spoilers please as I need to find out on my own. This show is just very unsettling and I can see how it haunts viewers to this day. I'm grateful Lynch was able to pull off this show despite impossible odds (I mean, this aired on the ABC network! crazy to imagine something like this today).

It sounds like you loved season 1 as much as I did. I just recommend tempering your expectations for season 2.

Unfortunately I'll agree with the post below re: tempering your expectations.

I'm not a huge David Lynch fan, but I agree that getting something that weird on TV - especially on ABC - was monumentally amazing. As I said before, I was only a kid when the show aired but there was nothing on TV like Twin Peaks... Nothing that would send me to bed with nightmares, and nothing that would send me to bed with my head spinning because I was trying to make sense of what I'd just watched. To this day I can't think of many television programs, let alone films, that creep me out as much.

You've heard about "Season 3" on Twitter, right? You can join in here or get a full day's worth of story here.

I'm pretty sure that it is streaming on Netflix, too. Will need to check it out!
