No need for creating fake e-mails if each person in your family has an e-mail and you use your own paypal or cc acount.

Outside of "Stagecoach" and "M" pricing, Barnes and Noble's pricing on their Blu-rays is in line with Amazon's pricing given the 20% off. Otherwise, they are high retail. Unless I have missed a real bargain somewhere, I don't see buying from them.

I usually like buying them in store for the simple fact I am touchy about what my Criterion cases look like. I usually search around for extra Barnes and Noble Coupons. Today I picked up By Brakhage in store with my membership and a 20% off coupon and with tax spent 55.60.

It all depends I guess. Sometimes I come across 5.00 off Barnes Coupons and I can get a 39.99 title for about 28.00 with tax.

What is the GSA BN code? Sorry if this was mentioned before...I'm at work and can't spend lots of time searching!

Thanks to all!

You'll find a thread about the code in the Hot Deals section of the forum. There's a link to follow and a code to enter.

ENJOY the game! A Dutchess County Mets fan myself.

Should be a GREAT game...they beat the Phillies last night and REALLY played like they meant it. I think taking 2 of 3 from the Yankees jump-started them!

I would agree with you about condition...I held off on buying Walkabout at BB this past week, as the booklets inside the cases looked kinda "dinged". As I've heard some issues with freezing up, I'll probably wait until the B & N 50% off sale to purchase.

I did wind up buying "M" at B & N, as they were the only B & M store carrying it...YES...case and booklet were mint!

Almost opted to buy Stagecoach at B & N as well (as they are closer than the sole BB in my area to carry it). The sales guy at B & N was nice enough to tell me that the case for Stagecoach was a bit "cracked". I decided that spending the extra $5.00 to save a trip wasn't worth it. I wound up calling BB and asked them to put a copy of Stagecoach aside for me...turns out, that it was the ONLY copy they received...pretty lucky for me and I paid $29.99 instead of $34.99.

For those that have cracked open their copies and viewed them...what do you think about Stagecoach?

I posted about it in the Spartacus thread....... but I canceled the order.... reviews just don't look good on that one..... I used that cancellation as justification to buy other titles (finally got "Ran" )

Is the current version of Ran a Criterion BD ?>>>https://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=2405

It's not a Criterion release...... Studio Canal holds the rights to several great films though...... "Contempt" "Ran" and "Lady Killers" to name a few.....

The Criterion version sadly got cancelled a few weeks before the release date because of the Studio Canal situation.

The picture is certainly the Studio-Canal version (to help those wanting the film) but sadly, that news broke in early 2009, and after it did, Criterion lost the rights to Ran, and never pressed any discs....... Worse yet, is the fact that "Ran" isn't absolutely stunning on Blu-ray..... it looks good, but it could look a lot better
