Through tcm.com on your PC or through the TCM app on your tablet or smartphone. I have the TCM app on my Kindle Fire. I connect the Kindle directly to my TV via HDMI out and watch it that way. The resolution on most films is pretty good and I haven't seen a logo (or bug, as they call it) or any ads yet. Just uninterrupted movies. I wish there were a TCM app for Roku, but this is the next best thing, even though I now have to get up and walk to the TV in order to pause the movie.

TCM online has about 20 movies at a time available for streaming, with each movie being rotated out after about a week. The only downside I've found for TCM is that it is getting in the way of me watching blu rays that I've paid for.

So many movies, so little time.

It's more of The Virgin Suicides, with a little less drama and a lot more mystery.

I gave Kurosawa's High And Low a spin at the weekend, and it amazes me how taut and captivating it is. Beautifully stylish too. The constant and sinister gleam in the sunglasses of the Intern as he's prowling the slums the drug addicts inhabit is genuinely eerie and haunting. These days it would likely have been done effortlessly in post production (Elijah Wood's character in Sin City for example), but in the early 60's one has to wonder how frustrating it must have been to film. Such an amazing film. Haven't had a chance to check out the supplements yet, but I'm looking forward to them, particularly the 37 minute making of documentary.

I disagree about that and do feel that this film gives you the same feeling as the others mentioned. The Virgin Suicides does not have the ability to give me goosebumps in such a way or have me so overly engrossed in the mystery that once the film is finished I ponder over it for days. Weir's film also has light touches of surrealism through its shots editing and music that is more in line with those other 3.

It's ironic. For all the abuse (much of it well-deserved) he took over colorization Ted Turner has probably done more for the preservation and promotion of classic films than most of his critics combined.

Thanks, I forgot to mention that, like HBO GO, you need to have access via your cable package in order to access TCM On Demand. Too bad they don't offer a direct access paid subscription a la Hulu Plus or Warner Archive. I would gladly give TCM $10 a month and cancel my cable TV.

Turner's motive for colorization was sincere (trying to get younger viewers to appreciate older films), but the concept was flawed. But one has to remember that this was now 30 years ago in an era of VHS and 17" TVs being the average for most of the US. The colorization idea was a bad way to promote classic films, and he reversed course within a few years (and he wasn't the only one to try it, either). So it ultimately is a small part of his history as a champion of classic films, but unfortunately for him it's also the most remembered.

I have DirecTV, and I know there is also TCM on demand content there, but it has been a while since I've checked it out. I'm normally scouring the guide 2 weeks in advance for anything TCM has to offer and then I DVR it.

I never thought to compare it to Virgin Suicides, it does have that mystery and uncertainty to it, its makes you think and question - and makes you want to go off and explore the film and try learn or find secrets.

I watched 4 nights in a row now, (UK release) and I'm crazy about it -

Aaaaand... All this talk about Help! makes me say this: anyone going to Las Vegas who has even a slight interest in the Beatles should absolutely make sure to see Love. The audio is mixed in such a way that it'll be the closest most of us get to seeing them live.

I'll keep an eye out for them, although my fascination with the band's music is 1965-breakup.
