Would be awesome if they were to include the 'Pilot' for Mullholand Dr if this was to be announced .

The only reason I would want The Tree of Life to be released through Criterion is if it were to be the rumored extended version. Otherwise, the current release is more than enough.

Le Samourai would be instant day one buy! That movie is worth even the MSRP.

I second the Midnight Cowboy predictions. I also think The Vanishing is coming as well.

Would be great to get Preston Sturges upgrades, or even a Blu-ray box set. If we had:
  • The Lady Eve
    The Palm Beach Story
    Sullivan's Travels
    + ???
that would be crazy good.

And as always, David Lynch additions would be very welcome.

The Vanishing might be our Halloween horror/mystery film for the year, if they keep with the past few years' tradition.

We got one box set each of the final four months last year, so I think that may be a fairly safe bet for tomorrow. What box sets are you all hoping for/expecting? For me, I'd say the following five are most likely:

1. Jacques Tati Box Set - All but confirmed in the New Year's Day puzzle.
2. Harold Lloyd Talkie Box Set - Lloyd's daughter mentioned such a set was being prepared in an interview earlier this year.
3. The Hitchcock Nine Box Set - Possibly an Eclipse release? The Lodger and Downhill being added to iTunes shows these films haven't been forgotten. Though this could end up being the traditional first quarter Hitchcock release for 2015, unless they do a stand alone release of Sabotage or Young and Innocent.
4. Ingmar Bergman's Faith Trilogy Upgrade - Entirely speculative, but an HD transfer of Through A Glass Darkly was recently added to iTunes, and two Bergman releases per year seems to be the standard.
5. World Cinema Project Vol. 2 - Could be a new December tradition? There are certainly enough films on Hulu for at least one more set.

Some wonderful Italian films that haven't gotten a good general release include:

Un Americano a Roma
Un borghese piccolo piccolo
Due soldi di speranza
Two Women (the film Sophia Loren won her Best Actress Oscar for)
Una vita dificile

Plus Blu-ray upgrades for Fellini's I vitelloni and The White Sheik would be great too!

I thought that originally but then I remembered that it was confirmed somewhere that The Brood was coming in October and I don't think Criterion would overload on the horror/mystery titles in one month. But it's possible.

Hadn't heard about The Brood, that's definitely a possibility. We also have Eraserhead still to come, and if any film is primed for a Halloween release it's that one.

I would lose my mind if L'avventura and Hiroshima were upgraded in the same month. My two most wanted upgrades and everything else is behind them by miles.

I noticed that Criterion have produced a couple of Samuel Fuller films not named White Dog. Shock Corridor and The Naked Kiss. Any chance of these ever making to the UK courtesy of Masters Of Cinema/Eureka ??????? More Fueller on blu ray would be very welcome. He is an unique filmmaker as far as i'm concerned
