Haven't heard anything. I would be happy with an upgrade of anything else already on DVD though. That we only have 81/2 and Amarcord on blu is just incredible. I can't imagine Fellini not selling well.

On the CriterionCast podcast it was said that if you look through deeply on Instagram you could find some proof. Apparently someone that works at Criterion posted a picture of them looking at the original negative of the film.

Midnight Cowboy would very much be a pre-order. Polanski's Macbeth would be a great addition, but if there's one Polanski film I would like to see get the Criterion treatment, its The Tenant. Criterion have already released Repulsion & Rosemary's Baby and The Tenant would complete Polanski's 'urban paranoia' trilogy.

Films I'm hoping to see are;
The Tenant (of course)
Le Samourai
Mulholland Drive
The Passenger

One title that I just thought of is Ridley Scott's The Duellists Not only would it be great to see this film on blu-ray, but it would be great to see a Ridley Scott film get the Criterion treatment.

Also, are you sure the September titles are being announced tomorrow?

I think it is inevitable it will be released this year. It was newly restored and will complete the trilogy.

I'd be happy to see any/all of those titles also. The Duellists would certainly be a welcome addition, and Criterion does have a history of releasing the early films of well-established modern directors (Thief, Following, The Game, Being John Malkovich, Slacker, etc). That's why I'm hopeful we'll be getting Hard Eight by year's end, probably in concurrence with the release of Inherent Vice.

I assume announcement day will be tomorrow, the past few times the 15th has fallen on a weekend titles have come out the next non-holiday weekday.
