You think they would offload that many Lloyd's in one year? I feel like they might go the Chaplin route and one a year until their supply runs low. Or maybe that's just my rationality to guarantee Tati sooner than later

I hope you're right. I'm honestly not a big fan of Lloyd and the Tati set is long overdue.

I bought Persona today at B&N during the 40% sale (with the 20% coupon). Looking forward to seeing this film for the first time.

The 2013 New Year's Drawing used an apartment complex as its backdrop, which many interpreted to mean The Tenant was coming. That's about as solid as it's gotten though, unless I missed something. Wouldn't be surprising given Criterion's obvious love for Polanski's work.

Where are we with "A Matter of Life and Death"? It was shown at the TCM Film festival This year in a Digital Print. Sony won't be releasing it and Twilight Time isn't getting it. That leaves Criterion (who should release it since they've released the other Powell and Pressburger films, and very well I might add)

Reeeeeaaaaaaaaally hoping for The Kid. That plus the Flicker Alley set of Mutual shorts would make my year.

Very envious. Watched it for the first time the day my it arrived, and it's now one of my favourite films of all time; possibly my favourite.

It's entirely possible I am misremembering. The only thing I know for sure is that I am too lazy to go back and check ;P

Regardless, I'm sure it's coming soon.

I bought the region-free Italian Blu-ray of Gilda last month. I'd gladly double-dip if Criterion released it on these shores, though.

I've been collecting Rita Hayworth movies on Blu-ray. The Lady from Shanghai, Gilda, Cover Girl, Pal Joey, and Blood and Sand. In July, I'm going to order Separate Tables.

I'd be happy with any of the following:

Hiroshima mon amour
Bicycle Thieves
Tati Box
Any S.Ray
Any Kiarostami
Any Fellini

EDIT: I forgot the novel was included! That's why. Even still, maybe a BD-only release will slim it up some.

On a side note, I'm very excited about re-watching The Grand Budapest Hotel, my favorite movie of the year thus far (that is, if The Wolf of Wall Street counts as a 2013 film). My Amazon pre-order says it will arrive today!

It come with the novel, though, which explains the thickness.

Criterion won't issue a blu-ray release only until the stock of the dual format release is gone.

As people stated it comes with the novel which was OOP in America - Definitely worth it - great deal for price - film + book.

It may never get a plastic case release due to book though - you can always buy a plain empty case and put dis in it, and then just scan the artwork in and print yourself?

Yeah it a bit thick but I love it

I made the same purchase (along with the Italian release of Witness) but I am very happy with the results and would not double dip.

I'm planning to pick up Picnic at Hanging Rock from Barnes & Noble tomorrow. I could get it cheaper next month, but I do not want to wait, and I want to make sure that I get a decent-looking digipak.

I loved my old Criterion DVD of this movie, and I'm sure that I'll love this Blu-ray.
