I'm still clinging to hopes that the clue is for Jacques Tourneur's Nightfall, as someone mentioned above.

It's a shame and a sin that there are no Tourneur movies available in high definition. (Especially the one in my avatar)

There are references in the film about blowing a trumpet to bring down the walls of Jericho.

Throughout the film there are references to Joshua blowing his horn and bringing down the walls of Jericho.

I don't know, that clue seems more specific with the horn and the bricks and such. If they were just playing off the knight, then what's the pont of the other stuff?

The film was recently screened here in Canada as part of "Classic Cinema" series. Ellen certainly had more success hitching a ride than Peter

In IH1N, Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert have to share a hotel room and set up a platonic "Wall of Jericho" curtain, which....well, you guessed it.

And while a 30's classic is more likely, dear heavens, that's desperate.
(Any real respectable IH1N clue would have shown a sexy hitchhiker leg. Or at least put Clark Gable ears on the knight.)

The Twilight Time Blu-ray of Frankenheimer's The Train is disappearing fast, so you've better grab a copy while you can.

I watched The Train a couple nights ago, and I was blown away. This World War II film has the perfect balance of physical action and somber gravitas. Burt Lancaster, Paul Scofield, and Jeanne Moreau (yeah, Jeanne Moreau, ya'll!) are all excellent in their roles.

This one sits well on the shelf next to Seconds.

And another Criterion Collection actor, Michel Simon, is in it. I really wish Port of Shadows wasn't oop and also that his other films in the collection-The Two of Us, Boudu Saved From Drowning, and The Passion of Joan of Arc would be upgraded. At least there's L'Atalante on Blu.

I personally think the clue is still a little too vague, but there is honestly nothing else that I can come up with other than It Happened One Night.

The Walls of Jericho scene is one of the most famous scenes from that entire film and the absence of any other knights in the picture practically confirms it. Plus, as MifuneFan pointed out, 2014 marks the film's 80th anniversary.

I see by your description you are "surrounded by water" If you live in the UK or anywhere Region B I highly recommend
