Usually about a week for me and I'm in NY also. Most of you know already but there is a member of the Eureka staff on the Eureka/MoC thread who regularly reads and responds to posts. Pretty great way to stay in touch with their fans and also makes customer service a breeze.

If some Chaplin comes this year, with the rumored New Hollywood Boxset, this years releases of Vivre sa vie, Roberto Rossellini's War Trilogy, Red Desert, Josef von Sternberg Silents, Dillinger is Dead, more Pialat (L’enfance nue), blu-rays of Criterion's cornerstones Seven Samurai & Breathless, and Nic Ray (Bigger Than Life) finally in the collection, this would be my fav year for Criterion by far.

Not to even mention John Ford's Stagecoach, Oshima Eclipse, The Fugitive Kind, Brakhage, and still unconfirmed titles.

I don't usually order from Deep Discount, but I was silly enough to take the bait on that deal they were having with the Stagecoach Blu-ray. I preordered it, it was released almost two weeks ago, and I haven't even received a shipping notification, let alone the disc.

Is this normal behavior with them or should I be worried?

I need me some Ford/Wayne, y'know?

That is a heck of a long time to wait for a shipment from IL. I have seen several people complain about lengthy shipping time. I wonder why the company is so slow? Give them a call this week and see if customer no service can help track your order down.

I ordered that one as well from Deep Discount the other day. It's on backorder so don't expect it anytime soon. Deep Discount isn't the most professional business I've come across.

I can understand why my order for Stagecoach is on backorder since I ordered it yesterday as part of the big sale. But no clue how your pre-order could be on backorder. You'd think they would have received enough copies to fulfill the pre-orders atleast.

], The Man Who Fell To Earth in the old 1st release packaging. How do I replace it? I'm confused on it. Thanks.

View the first post in the thread. All you need to do, is go to your paypal account and put the email address in the payee box. In the subject line, make sure to add "movie title here" plastic case replacement. The total is $5.00 You will receive an email informing you when your order has shipped.

You can sign into DDD and view your account history, it will tell you if backordered.

You don't have to use PalPal (scam) either. I absolutely refuse to use PayPal ever again. If you want to avoid them just e-mail Criterion and they can charge your credit card direct for replacement cases like they did for me.

Gotta love how DD even keeps a pending charge for the full amount of the order until it gets shipped. Nothing like having a pending payment on your credit card for up to 3 months for something that probably won't even ship.

Thanks for the info. If I have to get a replacement case again, I will use something besides Paypal.
