I picked up the Russian blu of Rublev a while back, but it's yet to make it into the player. Hopefully before the year is out.

Probably I'm confusing it with something else.
Probably for the same reason that in Se7en,
[Show spoiler]there were people convinced -- absolutely CONVINCED -- that they saw Gwyneth's decapitated head in the box at the end. Fincher talks hilariously about this on the commentary.

IOW, when something is very well done, you don't always remember seeing what you actually saw.

Just took the plunge and bought the Twin Peaks: The Entire Mystery bluray set. Very excited to watch this. Can't wait to pick up the Eraserhead Criterion disc as well, it is next on my list. Really hoping that they release Mulholland Drive soon.

I agree. That DVD definitely needs to be upgraded. I remember them saying a few years ago about how they'd love to revisit it, but nothing seems to have come about it.

And I haven't even seen the film since I saw it at local art institute over a decade ago. A BD release would be really appreciated by me, for sure.

I tried to watch this a while back, but the DVD isn't anamorphic. Stretching it out just didn't look right.

Id be happy with anything tbh he such an incredible director - I love the passion he had for Stalker that he made it 3 (I think 3) times! Cause they lost the original film in a chemical accident so he remade it shot for shot and my god I am so happy and thankful he did - I adore the final moments of the film.

^ ending if you want to see it :P

Other than Salo*, I'm pretty sure I've never seen one of his films. I feel like a total failure.

The trilogy of life is so great, Im such a fan haha - cant wait for my bluray copy to come Ive not seen all his films though only Salo, Trilogy Of Life and Theorem.

I just love a passionate director that makes films out of love and passion rather than money and he was not scared to push boundaries and cause a little controversy :P

I've only seen Salò and Accattone and I did not really care for either of them. I still have my Trilogy of Life set to get through.

If you can track it down Teorema is worth a viewing. Fascinating film.

I thought it was tomorrow as well. Unless they're doing it today so they can discuss it at the Wexner talk this evening.

Just checked the site, and it's "Under Maintenance" right now. So, maybe the announcements are indeed today?

I certainly hope so, but I do not recall the site ever undergoing maintenance for announcements.

Great news for all of the fans of Ray Milland (The Uninvited, Ministry of Fear, Dial M for Murder, The Lost Weekend).
Scream Factory will be releasing Frogs (1972) next year. I've been hoping for a long time that this film would be released on Blu-ray, so this puts a smile on my face.
