That's a bummer. I just hope that my copies of Leon Morin, Priest, Army of Shadows, and Le Cercle Rouge stay safe from the "bronzing" phenomenon.

It goes without saying that I really hope that a good high definition edition of Le Samourai comes down the pipes someday.

No End
The Scar
A Short Film About Killing
I'd have to imagine A Short Film About Love and A Short Film About Killing would be packaged in with a Decalogue release. My money would be on Blind Chance as the first standalone release.

Another Malick/Warner Bros. film? Does this mean The New World?

Kim Hendrickson alluded to this at the Wexner talk. It would be nice if it was an art book of the various Criterion covers, but I'd be even more stoked if it was a detailed discography of all of the Criterion releases to date, LD through BD.

They also mentioned more Wes Anderson in 2015, i would guess probably Moonrise Kingdom.

What else is there from Malick? The Tree of Life?

Edit: forgot The New World.

Tree of Life & To The Wonder - And he is currently working on 3 other films.

A Voyage of Time is going to be Malick's greatest work.

I think, as Kim said, the really popular current shows like BB would be unlikely. But I've always maintained that there are some short-run, fairly obscure shows that would fit in with the Collection.

Yah just be funny if they did release it lol.

Would love Lars Von Triers, The Kingdom - Would have wanted Twin peaks but the new release seems pretty awesome.

The New World would be great, especially since his (from what I've read) preferred cut isn't on Blu.

Criterion said they'd do a Woody Allen film but if Woody said no extras they probably wouldn't do the project. If he allowed them then Criterion would produces the extras for him.

I know Woody doesn't believe in participating in extras but I don't see him declining a release over them. Like most any filmmaker he wants his films on video. It's another way he can provide for his kids.

These would be incredible on Criterion:

Deconstructing Harry
Another Woman
Interiors
Stardust Memories

I think something like Lonesome Dove might have a chance.

Glad I tuned in, I'm watching the start of the conversation that I missed. Watership Down? Can't wait to hear what they said about that.

Not really. Kim said that a restoration (not by Criterion) was in the works, and implied that Criterion would be interested in getting the rights to it, but it didn't seem like a done deal.

I listed those titles as they're part of the Kieslowski collection put out by Kino Video. Seems unlikely Criterion acquired the rights to them when the rights to his opus, The Decalogue, remain vacant in the States.

As for Malick, I'd hate The New World but I suppose it's better than nothing. That's my least favorite (excluding To The Wonder, which I pretend doesn't exist). I'd LOVE The Tree of Life with a book of the script that the actors lost their shit over. But I think Fox hold those rights, so seems like The New World is most likely.
