What is today but yesterday's tomorrow?

As for guesses, I'll stick with what I had yesterday.

If by September you mean last October, yes.

I'm guessing for January:

Elevator to the Gallows
Night on Earth
Fellini Satyricon
The Thin Blue Line
Watership Down

Good stuff.
I don't remember that exchange at all but that is a great movie. Well, maybe not great but it's one of my favorite Woody Allen movies. In fact, were it not for What's Up, Tiger Lily? it would probably be my favorite.

I can't even imagine what will be announced at this point, but those are some mighty fine guesses.

I hope criterion sets the tone for an awesome 2015.

I expected Blue is the Warmist Color to be out by now. Could be time now.

Are you saying Criterion is re-releasing some of the Dual Edition digipaks in standard plastic cases? (If so, which titles exactly?)

I e-mailed them to ask this question & they claim they aren't doing this.

But I placed an order from Criterion's website during the 50% off flash sale. Of the three films I ordered, two were Dual Format titles (All That Jazz & Y Tu Mama Tambien).

I was fully expecting both of the Dual Foramt titles to packaged in the large digipaks, but All That Jazz came in a standard plastic case. (Y Tu Mama Tambien is still in the bulky digipak case.)

I hate those bulky digipak cases, by the way. I'm not bothered by the extra disc (which I'll never use) but I admit, the aesthetic bothers me... mainly b/c it takes up too much (precious) room on my DVD shelf... which is already out of space!
I posted that because there was some speculation that because The Night of the Hunter was rereleased in Plastic case, they would rerelease the current digipacks in plastic cases in the future.

I was just mentioning that there are some releases that are clearly intended to be released on digipak, be it 1 disc or 3 (Y Tu Mama Tambien, Babette's Feast), The Night of the Hunter wasn't one of them probably.

I only caught part of it on TCM but my Criterion Alert System immediately went off with the LYaM mention.

Until we have the New Year's drawing it is mostly speculation or newsletter hints.

All That Jazz has always been a plastic case.

A few pages back someone <jk> speculated on a CC edn of Breaking Bad. It'd be cool if they got the Ralph Steadman covers he did for Zavvi's exclusive steelbooks.

I'm back now from my training class that took all day, but I'm going to have to leave to go see a theatrical showing of Hitchcock's Vertigo in another hour and half. (Yeah, I know...doesn't it just suck to be me?)

Hopefully, announcements will come up in the meantime.

Well, you certainly won't be in a mood for meals following a Pasolini...

Ah, got it. I was confused-- I was thinking you were saying that Y Tu Mama Tambien was available in plastic, which I found surprising.

And yeah, I too was hoping they would reissue the Dual Format titles in standard plastic cases but I guess that ain't happening!

Right. I didn't realize that. I haven't seen it in any stores since its release. So I just assumed it would arrive in a bulky digipak case. (I assumed they all came that way.) Hence the reason for my surprise.
