It's a strong month of releases but February is usually a strong month for Criterion from historical patterns.
Watership Down has me the most intrigued. I haven't seen this film yet and plan to rent/borrow it first but I'm thinking this is an instant buy for me. |

Im wondering how Watership Down will look transfer wise - I've seen some of the Disney films remastered and they look horrible and really bad.
Not seen Criterion handle cartoon animated films so be a nice surprise I guess ![]() |

What a month! Definitely buying Don't Look Now, Fellini Satyricon and Watership Down. Don't Look Now has been one of my Top 5 wanted films on Blu-ray for years!
I admittedly don't know too much about Godard's post-70s work, but considering I love his '60s films through Weekend, and being his return to more "commercial" films I might give Every Man for Himself a blind buy. Ozu is one of those directors I haven't explored yet... maybe in the future, just not yet. I just finally got into Fellini by purchasing his films during the recent Criterion and B&N sales, and Antonioni is probably next on my list to "discover." It never ends! LOL |

Don't Look Now, Fellini Satyricon, and Watership Down have been removed from the list.
![]() I will be watching A Day in the Country and Watership Down prior to committing to a purchase of them. Don't Look Now (seen) is a definite purchase as is An Autumn Afternoon (blind). Being that I cannot see Every Man for Himself or Fellini Satyricon ahead of time, I assume I will be blinding these two as well. ![]() It is mine, without a doubt, as well. |
