Me? I'm a big Bowie fan, so would to see it out again since it's OOP.
I love Bowie too but Man and Last Temptation did nothing for me... Well, except for LTOC's "Now I believe in this" scene.

Probably way off, especially with HO, but I'd like to see Those
It was said at the last Wexner talk that the Apu Trilogy would be out toward the end of the year. The restorations will be making a tour of the arthouse circuit in, if I recall correctly, September. Criterion won't release them on Blu-ray until sometime after that.

This would make me happier than anything. In a Lonely Place is the darkest of the film noirs, and it is one of Humphrey Bogart's best roles.

I would settle for a Blu-ray upgrade of The Killers or of Jules Dassin's American noirs, though.

I definitely want In a Lonely Place and screw TCM and Twilight Time, I want a whacky-C on Gilda too.

In fact, if I could only get one I think I'd take Gilda. Maybe not, though...that's a pretty close call.

And speaking of George Macready, I sure wouldn't mind The Big Clock either.

My viewing of Time Bandits the other day compelled me to put The Omen Trilogy Blu-ray set at the top of my stack, since David Warner stars in both. I watched The Omen (1976) last night, and, as always when I've seen this film, I marveled at
[Show spoiler]Warner's final moment, which is one of the greatest death scenes in cinema
. The lovely Lee Remick, who starred in Anatomy of a Murder, has a great role in The Omen as well. I had forgotten how good this movie is. Damien is one shady little kid.

Speaking of Lee Remick, wouldn't it be pretty awesome if Criterion were to announce Days of Wine and Roses today?

In fact, speaking of The Omen, Criterion should announce Jacque Tourneur's Night of the Demon/Curse of the Demon today.

I agree. I watched this a couple of months back as part of my roster of horror movies for Halloween. Richard Donner can be hit and miss, but he knocked it out of the park for this one (which was his first feature film).

Too bad the rest of the Omen movies don't stack up. The second had its moments (the elevator scene in particular) and a phenomenal Jerry Goldsmith score, but I don't feel any compulsion to see it again. The third film was dreadful (I remember avoiding movies with Sam Neill because of it; fortunately, I got over it). The less said about the fourth, the better.

Yeah, I tried to watch Last Temptation, but couldn't make it past the first few minutes.

I got mine! Couldn't believe they gave gift cards. Pretty awesome.
I used it along with a 25% off coupon to get Safe for 18 or so with tax.
Glad I didn't have to wait for the July sale to get another disc at the 50% off price

The Lady Eve would be an autobuy. I caught it on TCM a year or two ago and expected it to be a pleasant enough way to kill and hour or two but I wound up really liking it.

Gulp. I had to swallow my disappointment with that comment. Admittedly, Anderson isn't everyone's cup of tea but you have to admit his films are original and fresh and just outright fun to watch. I love Wes Anderson films. I have to admit though, if it was between an Ikuru upgrade or a new inclusion of an Anderson film, I'd go with Ikiru.
