It's cool to see Christian Bale and Natalie Portman in this kind of movie. Looking forward to it! (been looking forward to it, as with his other untitled 2015 film)

True he isn't represented much on Blu in the US.
You're right, they could quite easily put it on a Shindo blu. I just don't see it.
Really is more suited on Ugetsu than it would be on say Children of Hiroshima.

Can we just get this on blu-ray now, and in theaters?

And yes, the music was awesome. sounded a little like a remix of NIN "Heresy."

That music and those scenes are about as un-Malick as you can get, but wow does this look intriguing. NOBODY has the eye for visuals this man possesses. Count me in.

Yeah I am so excited to see him experimenting with different visuals and environments, and of course that modern music! It is going to be so exciting!

Malick and Lubeszgi are meant for each other!

"Malick keeps repeating himself."

Contemporary shots of people getting wasted. Almost as if Wolf of Wall Street was drenched with Malick's aesthetic. This intrigues me.

Knight of Cups looks interesting, but I'm tired of the Malick trademark character looks longing towards the camera trick. It's pointless.

Why do people want to watch the trailers to movies they are already planning on seeing? This is a serious question, no offense intended.

The director has meticulously planned out how they will convey information to the audience. Even if this information consists of minor plot details. A trailer is just the marketing departments way of drumming up interest in a movie in order to sell more tickets. Why watch a watered down summary of the movie that was most likely made without the input of the director?

I only like to know who will be in the movie, so if a trailer comes on and I see that one of these actors is in it I can leave the room so as not to have anything spoiled.

Obviously, this doesn't apply to directors I am unfamiliar with or who do not have a proven track record in my book. But, you get the idea.

Is it sad I'm waiting to leave the office in case they announce right at 5:00? No need to answer, I know it is.

I love the excitement of being teased, I also like to get a sense of what the film will be like, because you can never really tell with just the poster artwork.

Also I am a huge fan of Malick so if I can see any of his work as soon as possible I will!

I get what you mean though, some trailers are terrible and have put me off film, which I have watched and ended up loving, I just think a lot of people don't have the patience to wait for a film - also its advertising which draws people in.

I wait so long for Malick's work, I just HAVE to watch it even if it is a watered down version haha! and don't worry, you are not offending me, we all like to do things differently

I also watch trailers after seeing a film, if I love it it allows me to watch summarised version of the film, I mean I watch films I love on repeat for the entire day if I can, but trailers allow me to watch 'the best bits' and easily watch when I am out .... I have gone as far as extracting audio and listening to films when I am out.... is that wrong lol (don't tell Lynch!)

I 100% agree, and I do my best to follow that principle, I for sure do it with indie films. With blockbusters, I try to limit it to the first trailer. But yeah, trailers are awesome but they also suck and can ruin it. With this film, I've been awaiting something related to it for awhile, so watching the trailer once isn't a big detractor. I'll forget much of it when I sit down and watch the movie.

Yes, Night and Fog blew me away. I found a used copy of the Criterion DVD for sale and purchased it as a blind buy, based on the fact that it was a Criterion disc and some vague memories about it appearing on some old "Best Films Ever Made" surveys. I didn't know what to expect and wasn't prepared for the emotional wallop it delivered.
