I'd be an absolute waste.
The current blu ray is great as it is and doesn't need more extras.
well, the New World is out too. Of course it isn't the theatrical cut, but still..

I seem to have some built-in defense mechanism that prevents me from being able to fully grasp the enormity of the Holocaust on an emotional, spiritual, and intellectual level. I can only absorb it in small pieces; films like Shoah, Night and Fog, Schindler's List, Playing for Time, etc., always raise more questions for me than they answer. Going through the Holocaust Museum in D.C. was a harrowing, unforgettable experience for me.

Two have already been released on Blu-ray and are therefore unnecessary.
So have It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, World, Brazil, and Time Bandits and they got Criterion treatment.

Besides, The Truman Show is worthy and needed of a Criterion release.

The best thing about The Truman Show is Philip Glass's music, but we have that in the collection on Mishima

Every so often I'll revisit some stuff about it online, and it's just so fascinating and impossible to comprehend how such cruelty, how all of what happened, could have transpired. There's so many perspectives within the camp (victims specifically) and Nazi party to look at it from, and imagine yourself in their place and what they were thinking and why they did what they did. It's just damn sad to think about as well. I'm wondering if Shoah is worth the investment, and I've never heard of Playing for Time, I'll have to look into that.

Holy moly...I just watched the new trailer for Knight of Cups. This looks almost like an updated or alternate universe for The Tree of Life about a man/actor who becomes famous in Hollywood and forgets about his roots and is too caught up in materialism and decadence. It's clearly a morality play from Malick and I like that we have recurring themes of upbringing and adulthood (but this time there aren't any children but rather the past is in his mind). I have no idea what this film will be about but I'm basing all of this on a single viewing of the trailer, which I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE as a film!!!!
