Although i wouldn't understand a selection of the latter, since there is an ultimate edition of it.

And any comment on my suggestion (La Vie En Rose)?
I don't know how the thing with rights and stuff goes..
I like your suggestion best of all I've heard.

Hmmm.... possible Disney titles on the list: Beauty and the Beast, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, and Star Wars. Seems like it's probably highly unlikely, but Beauty and the Beast is highly regarded as one of the best animated films of all time (and is currently OOP in North America), Nausicaa has the restoration recently released only in Japan, and as we all know the original unaltered Star Wars trilogy isn't released on Blu-ray yet.

Did Criterion make a deal with Disney? For real?

The obvious answers to me are The Fisher King, Moonrise Kingdom, Inside Llywellyn Davis, and The New World. Not sure on some of the other ones people noted.

As another poster mentioned, La Vie En Rose seems possible from the rose. I see Citizen Kane has been mentioned too. Seems possible. Probably more likely than Beauty and the Beast but we have some interesting theories on the possible new Criterion titles...

I'm going with Ma Vie en Rose (not the Edith Piaf film) for the rose, tho if the latter is already remastered in Europe..... Don't see any reason for Name of the Rose blu rerelease

The running guy looks like Harold Lloyd. Anyone know his films well enough to dial up him being chased by a mob or him chasing a car Or both?

And what's the babe on the riverbank wearing?

Moon looks like Night and the City to me. (Incredibly wishful thinking there.) Before Sunrise/Sunset look like good possibilities, too. and so does Two Days, One Night. I'll take 'em all.

Also Peter Pan with the ship.
Could Rambling Rose be another possibility for the rose? Probably not.

I was thinking that the ship could be Fellini's And the Ship Sails On.

I can't understand what that girl is wearing.
But it looks like Nausicaa indeed:

maybe they just didn't get the shoes right..

I think people are right in guessing the Before Sunrise / Before Sunset / Before Midnight trilogy. Warner Bros recently made that new licensing deal with Criterion and more releases are expected to come from the agreement. So this seems like a high probability. Though obviously the last one was from Sony, I would imagine Criterion worked something out to release a trilogy box-set.

...also, the idea of a Criterion Peter Pan is intriguing. Maybe we will get Criterion editions with corrected colors and no DNR?

Could the expected skirmish between the gang and the soldiers be Bertolucci's Before the Revolution?

I can see that as well. Let's keep the Disney / Ghibli theories going.

That is correct. They are going to release a box set of his talkies first. This clue, however, is referencing the 1928 silent, Speedy.

Name of the Rose is great. Better than the blu-ray release it received. More Sean Connery os a good thing.

Before a second Blu-ray edition of Inside Llewyn Davis is released it would be nice for Barton Fink to make it out once.

Yes, supposedly they are going to release a lot more Lloyd. So this seems like the highest possibility for that one.

I don't know what several of the images represent. Probably some high-profile foreign language films I haven't seen.

I had a theory the clock would somehow be referencing Back to the Future... but seems highly unlikely and not accurate. Well, it would be cool, though!

There are a few films where he is being chased by mobs though!

Speedy would be nice!

I don't like his talkies much
