Most of Wes Anderson's films are a bit too quirky for me, but I really liked 'Life Aquatic'. Murray's droll, deadpan delivery is perfect. Only he could make a line like, "Remind me, we'll send him a red cap and a Speedo" work so well.

Final Hopes for Tomorrow (Based Off of Favorite Directors in the Collection)
Martin Scorsese - After Hours David Cronenberg - The Brood Terry Gilliam - The Fisher King Coen Brothers - Inside Llewyn Davis David Lynch - Mulholland Dr. Brian De Palma - Sisters Not all are legitimate guesses, but if one makes the cut, I will be very happy. I would be open to there being some surprise as well, with Sisters being substituted with Hi, Mom (which will probably wind up with Kino) or Llewyn Davis for The Man Who Wasn't There or Barton Fink. |

I have seen a minor error with the review. At the end of the review's very first paragraph, it states the the blu-ray is Region B locked. |

I'm loving everyone's rating, thanks. So I just watched The Life Aquatic, and I thought it was amazing. I think I am going to have to revisit Rushmore because I clearly missed something. But so far based on the Wes Anderson Films I've seen I'd have to rate them:
1. Bottle Rocket 2. Life Aquatic 3. Grand Budapest 4. Moonrise Kingdom 5. Rushmore |

My favorite Anderson films goes as follows:
The Royal Tenenbaums Rushmore Moonrise Kingdom The Life Aquatic/The Grand Budapest Hotel The Fantastic Mr. Fox The Darjeeling Limited Bottle Rocket That might change if I see Bottle Rocket and The Fantastic Mr. Fox again though. Should also mention that I've yet to dislike any of them. |

Was just thinking that based on the Bunuel titles they still have, they could easily turn them into a nice Bunuel/Silvia Pinal boxset
![]() But that would be just too amazing to be true, i would be more than happy if they announce an upgrade of any of those tomorrow. ![]() |

If Criterion announced just one of the following tomorrow, it'd make my day.
- A Matter of Life and Death - Hour of the Wolf - Two Days, One Night - Pretty much anything from Wilder - As Tears Go By (I'm probably in a very small minority that prefers this to Days of Being Wild). And as a bonus, maybe throw in PTA's Hard Eight. |

My Wes Anderson film ranking:
Moonrise Kingdom The Royal Tenenbaums Fantastic Mr. Fox The Grand Budapest Hotel Rushmore The Darjeeling Limited Bottle Rocket The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou I absolutely adore the first 5 films on my list (so that ranking can shift a bit), TDL is a perfectly fine film, and I'm not really a fan of BR or TLAWSZ (though I should watch them again as it has been a while since I saw them). For May, I'm hoping for some more Powell & Pressburger (I Know Where I'm Going! would be great). |
