Polaroid, you have fantastic taste in framing and collecting cinema artwork. I'm wondering if you are soon going to charge admission for people to view your collection in person? I think we should urge you to open up a new "home museum" for your artwork! Otherwise, where's the fun if nobody appreciates your superb aesthetic sense of interior design if they don't see it in person!?

I looooove the UK posters. I think hey represent the film the best.

I have these two babies in storage waiting to put up (alongside my House, Koyaanisqatsi and 2001 ASO posters) ignore the ugly/temp rug haha!

Also ignore the mess! lol (also that horrible picture behind TTW haha, need to replace but cant be bothered!)

[Show spoiler]

Also got this baby to frame soon!
[SPOILER]
[/SPOILER

I don't have many non-US posters but I do love the UK poster of Days of Heaven compared to the US one sheet which is so drab. I haven't been able to track that one down either so I make do with the domestic one and a smaller German one that is identical to the UK except for the german text.

That's one reason I shifted to lobby cards. Less space required and easier/cheaper to frame.

Im quite lucky to have an empty spare room (storage atm) but once it's cleared I'm going to turn it into a little film room lots of posters, more of my collection in there and maybe another TV, although it would be perfect room for a projector..........

Come on guys - show off your collections lol I love seeing how others store their film stuff :P

I've mentioned this a few times before, but my collection is a framed Vertigo, an original UK poster of the Smiths release of their single Sheila Take a Bow, and I just bought an 11 x 17 poster of Breathless - it's a pic of Jean Seberg giving Belmondo a kiss on the cheek. I'll be going all over town to see how cheaply I can get it professionally framed. I'll post a pic once I get it done.

I did have a framed poster of East of Eden, but gave it to my sis (who gave it to my uncle) when I didn't have any room for it. kinda wished I would have kept it.

I'll try to take a stab at posting photos of some of my lobby cards in a few days.

I know the feeling-I had to sell off most of my more valuable ones a few years back when the recession hit. The one(s) I really miss were an original Night of the Living Dead and Earth vs the Flying Saucers (with Harryhausen autograph) one sheets.

With 1200+ movies, my wife and friends keep telling me I should start a video store and rent my collection. No way I could do that... to OCD about my collection.

And nice display. I don't have a lot of movie stuff on display but I do have some of my comic/tv collectibles on display, as seen here:

Not the best picture, I just quickly took it a few minutes ago.

Hint Hint, I have nothing to show off! I am probably the complete opposite of you in terms of displaying any personal possessions. Everything here is strictly for functional purposes only. Therefore, I have a display rack for films, a display rack for books, a small table for my electronics/tv, my computer desk and a couch. I have no framed pictures or anything mounted on my walls, no limited edition artwork, no posters, etc. Since nobody really sees my living quarters, I basically have no reason to display anything of any importance in my life. I've started to realize that "less is more" and most importantly, I'm a minimalist so that means, less dusting!

not to mention that the cost of having something professionally framed has gone up exponentially over the years.

I had my two movie posters done for like $110 for both in '99. now it cost over $200 to get a larger one done.

Theres a small shop near me that not that expensive tbh and they are pretty decent - I usually frame stuff myself to save on costs though, but the expensive prints and limited edition stuff I'm saving to get framed professional lol

See I hate clutter too but I have found a nice balance and pretty happy now lol :P I rarely have guests here so the suff on display is mainly for my pleasure and enjoyment

When my wife and I first started dating, she was scared to touch my collection. She still won't dust the collectibles shelve, which is cool with me. I've caused a little damage to an item or two when cleaning... easier to be mad at myself, especially when I've spent so much money on those things.
