I see that Wooden Crosses just got an outstanding blu ray in U.K.

As far as Criterion it seems there is no hurry to upgrade these to blu-ray, however at least many of the Eclipse sets are also on Hulu+. So if you don't like acquiring DVD's at this point you can sign up for a month and watch a bunch of them online. I know many Fassbinder's are on there.

My copy just arrived, I've not seen it before but can't wait to give it a spin. We also got the Bernard Les Miserables last year too, and they're both available in France, so there's no reason why Criterion couldnt upgrade them.

Cool! if any of those 10 are newer releases (e.g., The Soft Skin, Don't Look Now, etc.,) I'd advise you to get your order in early because titles will sell out... not like lightning quick, but within several hours for sure.

I think that's a wise choice. I saw it several months ago and, while I'm glad I saw it, I have no plans to buy it.

The newest one in there is The Night Porter the others are older releases like anti christ and something wild

Intriguing. A small eclipse set that is blu ready would be a great way to experiment and see how consumers would react to a blu-ray eclipse set.

All are blind buys except Hunger. Been wanting to see Devil's Backbone for a long time, as well as Watership. Hadn't heard of Don't Look Now til Criterion announced it but it sounds really interesting and I love the artwork so I decided to grab it, and Hunger completes my Steve McQueen collection (though it's probably my least favorite of his films).

Almost picked up Y Tu Mama Tambien as well, but I'm not itching for that so I think I'll wait til the Barnes & Noble sale in the summer

It's possibly but unlikely. They have discussed possibly releasing select single titles from Eclipse sets on blu, but I don't believe it's ever happened yet.

The only one that I know about is Late Autumn taken from the Eclipse set of Late Ozu, maybe they have others but I am not sure.
