My memory is that members get a bunch in June right before the Criterion sale. I plan to use one on the Shawn/Gregory set.

We're talkin' turtle soup, buckwheat cakes with caviar and sour cream, quail in puff pastry shell with foie gras and truffle sauce, rum sponge cake with figs and candied cherries and then of course the sherry wine, the champagne, the pinot noir and then of course, how could I forget, the Louis XIII de Rémy Martin cognac with coffee.

Holy baloney. Now that's what we Criterion collectors like to eat!
Only if we can get it on a lunch special twice a year, with a coupon.

Are we assuming the Rossellini War Trilogy is coming on Blu Ray?

Can we look forward to a standalone release of Easy Rider this month?

I wish and I would also warmy welcome a standalone of The Last Picture Show, Brief Encounter, and Koyaanisqatsi.

I'm betting we get another small box in July, so probably this or Apu Trilogy.

I doubt we'll get The Apu Trilogy that early. It won't be released until after the films have finished their arthouse run.

I'd vouch for Criterion food stamps if possible.

Greetings....as a new member, I am just intro'ing myself. And I'll list one BD future wish...."Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas" (and I will need to search for threads about why/if this title will ever be on BD, because it does not appear to be.)

Meanwhile, upcoming wish/purchase will be "Repulsion."

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Fear-...Blu-ray/19911/

And the Universal release: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Fear-...-Blu-ray/8355/

No shortage there.

I was expecting November until someone over at Criterion Forum found some leaked artwork for the box logo. Maybe summer is wishful thinking because I've been waiting for these for years.

Another possibility is The Koker Trilogy, which I believe was also rumored to come out this year.

I watched the extra film, Stereo contained on the disk with Scanners.

It's a pretty out there film, and obviously the product of a very tiny budget and a very young filmmaker.

But, I thought it was really enjoyable, especially the later half.

I'm not very familiar with Cronenberg, I only really started seeking out his films after being blown away by Maps to the Stars. Has he more deeply explored ideas on bisexuality and "omnisexuality" that he teases in Stereo?

I wouldn't mind the Wajda: Three War Films set but I've never heard it mentioned as a upgrade candidate.

A lot of his stuff contains extreme reconfigurations of sexual norms. For what you're talking about I think Crash and Videodrome would probably be the most "heady" explorations of that idea, while "Shivers" is the silliest, and Naked Lunch is somewhere in between. Crash is extremely sexually explicit and Videodrome/Shivers are very gory, be warned.

I would say The Last Picture Show would get released. Easy Rider is already available standalone from Sony.
