It was delayed. No official reason why, but some speculate it's because the artwork for it wasn't ready yet (hence why no cover has been shown form the start).

Okay that's what I figured, thanks. I was really hoping to snag that during the BN sale, guess I'll just wait for Christmas time

I still don't see them.
Probably it depends what your location is, and which mirror you get...

You get the idea. They simply make me laugh, PROFOUNDLY, like none other. Well, Roberto Benigni is another actor too (when cast effectively, such as in Jim Jarmusch's films). And I guess you can include John Lurie too (but he's a whole different animal). Anyway, I watched that very same episode of Letterman that night and I laughed myself silly when Tom Waits made a joke: "so what is the one business you can't retire from?"... "the tire business"! HA HA HA HA ha ha ha mua ha ha ho ho he he he haaa heee heee.
There's a nice box set of Jarmusch's first 5 films out in the UK that I almost imported. So I would guess upgrades to the DVD titles will be coming at some point, since the HD masters now exist.

Agreed. There are so many films on blu in the UK and Germany specifically that are in the CC. Since HD masters now exist, I would assume upgrades will be coming at some point for Pickup on South Street, Thief of Bagdad, the Antoine Doniel collection, the war Trilogy, the Dreyer box set, Scenes from a Marriage, Au Hasard Balthazar, Cria Cuervos, White Dog, The Naked City, This Sporting Life, Bad Timing... so many titles (I believe all of those are still in print... not to mention the ones that went OOP, like Tales of Hoffmann, Kind Hearts & Coronets, Peeping Tom).

That might be up Jarmusch on whether or not Criterion uses the existing masters. Jarmusch opted for a new transfer for Down by Law and the result was a great blu-ray.

You can tell it's a fake, Kubrick would've never signed off on the ratio of that cover. Totally wrong.

Would be cool if Criterion uses the Mondo artwork for Mulholland Drive:

Haha I know - I was in a rush to find something if it was too real I think I'd be hated :-)

Yes, now that would be cool. You know seeing that poster makes me wish for Nicholas Winding Refn collaborating with Lynch on a film. Imagine that?
