Just watched my first Antonioni, L'avventura!
Wasn't blown away, didn't hate it either.
I liked it very much aesthetically.

By the way, I just read about the mystery to Anna's disappearance in wikipedia that

When asked, Antonioni told Robbe-Grillet that the "missing" scene (showing Anna's body recovered from the sea) was scripted and actually filmed but did not make it into the final cut, apparently for timing reasons.

hadn't thought that Antonioni had something so specific on his mind..
Too bad we can't see this missing scene.

Is it safe to say that I can scratch One-Eyed Jacks off of my rumor list because of Jellyfish Eyes?

I'd like to see the scene for curiosity purposes. But I am almost absolutely sure that the film works better without it.

I read that Antonioni didn't like to talk about his films.
Would he say this solving this mystery?
I can't believe it.

I would wish that that is a double clue, but I doubt it.

It does seem odd, and out of character. Then again, maybe he was drunk while giving the interview.

not to mention, if this scene existed, we would have more sources confirming it.
Right now, i only found that source.

Do you know how many clues are left to be uncovered?

If you're a fan of Dreams I highly recommend this!
I'll have to check that out. Kurosawa's storyboard paintings are beautiful.

It's releasing July 15th, so we could see it on BD November or December.

By the way, many are speculating that last month's hint (the empty coat) is a clue for Hitchcock's Young and Innocent, yet I still think it's for Missing.

I agree too!
Because the ? is inside the coat, which means the person who's wearing this is missing.
I think the drawing would be another one, if it'd suggest that we're looking for the identity of the one who's wearing the coat.

Same here, and I was surprised the consensus switched so quickly. Both make sense so it could be a double clue.

I think the chances are better of getting an early Hitchcock box with the titles they've been stockpiling rather than individual releases.

On another note, I watched my blind buy from the June 40% off sale, Letter Never Sent, last night. It was my first Kalatozov film, and I was not disappointed. The only complaint I have is that it felt a bit too short, like the love triangle between Andrei, Sergei, and Tanya should have been developed more.

The cinematography was brilliant (the silhouetted shots of the expedition party walking in the distance were particularly striking), and the restoration is nearly perfect. It's probably the best "budget" Criterion film I've seen so far.

Has anyone seen The Cranes are Flying? My local library has the DVD, and I was thinking about checking it out.
Cranes is decent. I liked Letter significantly more.

The problem with it being Missing is it looks nothing like the coat of the person missing. If they wanted a clue for that, they could definitely made a distinct looking coat that fit what he wore. It doesn't match what Lemmon wears either

Blu-Ray Update #3 - The Passion of Joan of Arc - Masters of Cinema Blu-Ray - YouTube
The fact that the MOC release doesn't have the Richard Einhorn/Anonymous 4 track means that it can be bettered by a Criterion release, as far as I am concerned.

As you can see, the coat from Missing looks nothing like the one in the drawing
