Picked up Don't Look Now earlier today from the B&N sale, only a few more to go before the sale ends.

I finally picked up both Del Toros at the sale today. Don't know why I kept putting it off bc I love him. Now we need Pan.

Has Breathless been released in a plastic case version? I have the digipack but prefer the other. Checked out Criterions website but they dont have that case listed as one you can buy separately.

I don't believe it has a plastic case version.

I picked up Marketa Lazarova, even though I tried to watch it last year and couldn't get into it. I wanted to give it another chance.

Never. I'm fully prepared for an endurance test, and not really expecting it to be enjoyable per se, but I'd lie if I said I didn't have all time fav (top 100) hopes.

I was actually under the impression that the re-release--
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Breat...Blu-ray/90383/
was in a plastic case, but I never found out 100%.
Anybody out there have the "dual format" re-release and can confirm one way or the other whether it is in a plastic case?
thanks in advance.

It's still a digipak:

All right, guys, since my store doesn't carry anything from the Collection, I've ordered the following into the store (hoping that all will come with their respective stickers, as I specified in the notes section of the order):

Autumn Sonata
Belle de jour
David Lean Directs Noël Coward
Hiroshima mon amour
Sundays and Cybèle
The 400 Blows
The Bridge
The Great Dictator
The Innocents

I am certainly getting Hiroshima mon amour, but I need to choose two more in order to use the $5 off $50 coupon. I also have the $8 off a $40+ coupon to use as well, so I am probably getting David Lean Directs Noël Coward. Which other two (maybe even three) releases out of these should I go with?

Makes me wonder if they will switch it a third time when the dual format stock goes. The original digipack is one of my favourite designs in that format from them, the pic on the spine looks really nice on the shelf.

The original digipack is lovely. Did anyone else notice on the B&N sale email that in the picture A Hard Day's Night is now in a plastic case? The digipack for that is one of the loveliest ones they've done.

Edit: Or is that the DVD? Did they do a digipack for the DVD release?

Funny you should ask! Today I received in the mail a used copy of Breathless that I had ordered used from another forum member, and several things about it are odd. First of all, it's what I suppose was the original single disc Blu-Ray in a digipak case with a heavy cardboard slipcover. Secondly, the seller included a plastic Scanovo case for the film which features an insert with alternative artwork. Was this perhaps offered by Criterion before they switch over to a three-disc dual format release? I suppose it could be homemade, but if so, whoever made it did an incredibly professional job ...

Great Dictator and 400 Blows. I didn't care for Belle or Innocents.

The first Breathless release on BD was in a digipack (as was the original DVD release). That other one you show looks like the Studio Canal version... but with the wacky C!

Yep, it's a custom cover based off of StudioCanal's artwork for the film

The digipack is dual format while the plastic case is just the DVD.
