I saw someone predict A Matter of Life and Death a few pages ago. That would make my year. If memory serves, the latest one to be restored is A Canterbury Tale, and that would be fine too.

I believe The Tales of Hoffman just went under the massive restoration and there were articles talking with Thelma about working with Criterion on the edition.

Yes, I was thinking along the same lines.

When I visit Blu-ray.com on a daily basis (often several times a day), announcements like the one today from Warner Archives are exactly the sort of thing that I'm always hoping to see.

A Criterion announcement for Pickup on South Street, The Big Clock, or some other classic-era noir would be a great way to end a good news day in the Blu-ray world.

I know, after logging on and seeing that, the Criterion announcements were an afterthought! By the way I recently received and watched the new MoC blu of Pickup, and the 4k resto looks crazy good so you're in for a treat when the eventual Criterion edition surfaces.

As for the announcements I'm expecting the Apu trilogy and would be excited if they announced the Wenders stuff sooner rather than later!
