So I have a question. Did we mistake the new years drawing of what I thought was Llewyn Davis for Bob Dylan in Don't Look Back?

Apu and Ikiru for me. For those who haven't seen Ikiru, IMO it is Kurosawa's finest film.

I don't think so. The cat solidifies it being Inside IMO.

I hope not. I mean, bob dylan(an actor not the real guy) was in ILD, but carrying the guitar with the cat in a trench coat. Come on.

Apu Trilogy and Ikiru are definite purchases - or they'll go on the Christmas list since Arrow have bankrupted me!

Highlights of the month might actually be Poil de Carotte and La Tête d'un homme in the Duvivier set - just a shame it's DVD only and extras-less!

Don't Look Back and Ikiru are huge to me. Too bad I just ordered the Ikiru DVD last month...
I had In Cold Blood on the Capote film, but I'll gladly double dip on this version.

I'd get In Cold Blood and Don't Look Back if I didn't already have them. Don't think I will upgrade. Ikiru is great but not something I'm going to watch repeatedly so pass. The others I will rent.

Kudos to whoever said "CODE UNKNOWN" for the newsletter clue. "Young and Innocent" and "Missing" were stretches.

I cannot believe there are people who are disappointed with this month. I didn't think they could top October, but they did.

I know! its an AMAZING month - even fi they don't want Apu Trilogy, they gotta appreciate the amazing work Criterion did to restore it, thats a huge thing in itself!

I was expecting alternate artwork for Apu though.

But seriously. HANEKE!!!!!!
