They just posted the video below, so I'm sure that means they're not delaying anything.

No complaints of broken records here. When they announced the restoration I had hopes that somehow they'd make their way into Criterion's hands. At this point I'd settle for any release!

I know they don't quite compare with his best work, but they're not bad films at all. I would still love a Criterion box set overflowing with extras.

Why? You don't think they'll tap into the UHD market?

Not any time soon. They're still offering DVDs.

They're split has gotta be 70 Blu/30 DVD at least.

Yeah, people in general are still buying DVDs, and if those people haven't made the leap into the "new" Blu-ray format by 2015, I can't really see Criterion, which generally releases niche films, producing UHDs in the near future.

Well, it was 60/40 in favor of BD two years ago. It should be near 70/30 by now.

I'm just too tired to be excited today. In need of a serious vacation.

I'm excited. I have a feeling that some people will be very happy with this month's announcements. There are too many titles 'on the table,' so to say, that have to be coming soon. I don't believe in the "December has always been a light month" theory.

I think some of the hype is dwindled because of Monsieur Becker passing. And people always tend to get less excited about December releases.
