re: Complete/Restored Metropolis. i saw this 1st friday of June w/Alloy Orchestra's original score/composition and it was a once in a lifetime experience of watching silent film on a big screen AND live orchestra. that's just so rare =)

re: Kubrick on Criterion is truly awesome. really wished it was spartacus though ='(. that Universal transfer is atrocious and i don't want to have it because of the offending transfer.

There are no separate booklets. There's one large book that contains a single page of info about each film, an essay titled "Remembering Kurosawa" and a rather detailed bio of the director for the first twenty or so pages. None of the written material from the single release booklets are included.

I was excited because B&N shipped Black Narcissus and The Red Shoes the other day, and I received the package yesterday. However, when I opened it, inside were two Nancy Drew novels!

So now I have to return them and wait for them to ship to correct items. Nothing on the receipt or the return instructions on the their site states how I can ship it back. The return label has a bar code and just states "Standard Shipping." Do I use UPS or USPS or what?

Not fair. I wish it were playing in Austin TX or Dallas TX so I could see this print. From what I hear, it will melt your face off.

Hey...anyone that has either bought and/or is thinking about Red Desert...

I picked up a copy on the first day of the sale and you get a two week window on returns. I've only heard one negative feedback from a poster on this thread. I've read very good reviews on this site and descriptions of it being very slow paced, very Arthouse and befuddling...

I've tried to rent it, but it's been in a "very long wait" status on NetFlix for a while.

What do the rest of you think?

My neighbor is about 40 and has a "Pac-man Fever" tattoo. That one hasn't held up well over time.
