Yeah, the second (no pun intended) time I watched it, I was absolutely terrified by the ending.

Yeah, I can buy into that idea, too. ..and since it is Twilight Zone-esque, I'd recommend the following TZ episodes for viewing either today or tomorrow:

Perchance to Dream
Eye of the Beholder
The Masks

if you're short on time, it'd be 22 minutes well spent. PTD might be my favorite episode.

Super pumped to get this in today. Been looking for a deal on the AK100 set and this one is in great condition.

I know there's no logical reason for it to happen, as the 40th anniversary edition provides a fantastic transfer and great special features. But it's such an important film imo...the seminal independent horror film of the 70s.

I would just like to see it.

It Follows is the best horror to come along in years. Trust me.

The Entity has a similar concept to It Follows, and is genuinely suspenseful. Martin Scorsese called it one of his favorite horror films. I like it better then the not famous Poltergeist.

I've thought about getting It Follows as a blind buy.

But these two posts perfectly illustrate the problem I have with it.

One person thinks it's the greatest horror film of the last ten years and the next guy thinks it's one of the worst.

Make up your damn minds!

...Ray Jackson's gettin upset.

Wow...that is genuinely beautiful.

I won't even ask how much it cost.

...I don't think I want to know.

One of my favorite "horror" films is the South Korean "A Tale of Two Sisters" (Janghwa, Hongryeon) by Jee-woon Kim. Unfortunately there was a horrible US remake in 2009 called "The Uninvited" with Elizabeth Banks.

Which is odd since the TCM blu-ray was fantastic, aside from not having the English subs. Maybe it went out of print like their Lady From Shanghai disc? Either way, I don't see the PQ getting any better.

I think those are meant to be chicken wings, not fortune cookies.

Does the angels action in the drawing reference anything in the movie? I mean, could it be for something else?

I have to respectfully disagree. I found it far superior to Babadook (which I thought was decent).

I have no idea how it is that I have never heard of this film before. Cary Grant, Howard Hawks... and it seems to be well-reviewed. I'm intrigued.

Angels having wings seems like a pretty obvious reference, especially with the TCM Exclusive Blu-ray now out of print and the other Sony/Columbia titles coming out on Criterion, but I suppose it's possible that there might be some deeper meaning.

My first thought when I saw the newsletter was An Angel at my Table.

It still makes more sense because of the plate of food.

Edit: now I see the chicken wings as the food. Could be a double clue.

It does, but I think most (if not all) upgrade hints have had blue in them.
