I looked at A Room With A View just cause I was curious about your post. That is a perfect example of amazon's policy of "promoted" sellers. In other words it makes it appear that it is only available through third party sellers, BUT if you click on the hyperlink to look at the other seller's copies under--New From-- and scroll down you will find amazon proper listed at 9 cents more than the "promoted" seller is asking. Amazon started allowing "promoted" sellers to appear as the "main looking" seller some years back, and if you don't know about it can be very confusing and aggravating for sure.
btw: when a product is ONLY available through third party sellers there will be this phrase Note: This item is only available from third-party sellers right near the bottom of the listing. So this phrase lets you know amazon proper truly does not have stock of whatever product it is. Notice the A Room With A View listing does not show this phrase.
good luck!

Look forward to seeing these. When I did my posters for our home theater I let my wife and kids have their own selections. Now I wish I had done a few classic Criterion films instead of Super 8, E.T. and Breakfast Club. My picks were Godfather and Star Wars. All of this was pre-Criterion collecting.
I guess I should make them feel like part of the family, too...

I don't think I'd have the wall space for that!

The fact that I keep building giant bookcases to house movies isn't helping that either.

Looking forward to the pics!

So, did Janus Films really find a print of LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT or are they screwing around?

OK, I've been ... "away" for a while. So, I wasn't able to comment on the Mulholland Dr. release. I think it's one of the best Criterion releases I've purchased. Now, it's one of my favorite films -- in the sense that I think its on of the handful of best films ever made -- so I might be a bit biased.

But it looks, sounds amazing. And the extras are just terrific. I'd put this just next to Hiroshima, mon amour as the best release of 2015.

I want to watch this movie every night for ... a long time.

Welcome back. I thought that they locked the door and threw away the key. Glad that isn't so.

Picked up:

L'Avventura
My own Private Idaho
Umberto D
Macbeth

Wanted to get YiYi, Aus revoir Les Enfants, and Kes but the store didn't have them, but in childlike behavior, was over come by all the other great selections and added

Babbetes Feast
John Cassavetes Five Films

Ordered Aus Revoir Les Enfants online.

I should add I became a member a well ago and ended up saving about $17 dollars, so I took it and bought some books for the local orphanage. B&N stores promo, so I'm not taking any karma points for that.

I saw Dylan last November. He's still got it. His band is great, too.
